There are too many threads here with 'wish-list' actors such as Van Damme and Wesley Snipes. Do you honestly believe we'll get 'A' list actors in MK3? It's not gonna happen.... But that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Look at the Spider-Man films, for example; The prove you don't need a well-known actor to sell a good film. And that's how it should be.

Having said that, here is my cast for MK3; Feel free to post your opinions.

Rayden - Christopher Lambert
Liu Kang - Robin Shou
Johnny Cage - Linden Ashby
Jax - Lynn 'Red' Williams
Scorpion - Chris Casammassa
Sub-Zero - Guy from MK1
Jade - Tracy Douglas (Vorpax from MK Conquest)
Tanya - Stacey Dash (from Clueless; incredible actress)
Kitana and Mileena - Talisa Soto
Sonya Blade - Hudson Leick (Callisto from Xena; Incredible acting range)
Shao Kahn - Jeff Meek
Quan Chi - Adoni Maropis

Please tell me what you think, and feel free to post your own as well. Thanks for reading.

I have just verified, and I hadn't made a mistake: his name is effectively François Petit... smile

I wonder who, out of all of the actors in these movies that know Martial Arts, is the better fighter of all of them.

Nevermind, the best fighter out of all of them it seems is François Petit.

According to his biography, François Petit is a world class martial artist who holds the title of KaiDen-Shihan, the highest title of Master in Jujitsu in the world. He also holds a 7th degree black belt in Ninjitsu, a 7th degree black belt in Karate Do, and a 3rd degree Black Belt in Judo.

Although the older Sub-Zero will most likely not be in the film, I agree, it would be wise to get him for at least one role as one of the fighters.

People keep suggesting François Petit as Sub-Zero, but you do realize that you've never really seen him act (You haven't because MK is the only thing he's ever done)? And in MK3 Sub-Zero will probably have a big role, and you don't know if François can even speak English. He's certainly a fantastic martial artist, but with the record he has (amazing martial arts but no acting experience), I don't see how he'd fit as an actor better than a stuntman. I have no idea why you'd like to see him play Sub-Zero. Please enlighten me.

While I don't know how anyone else responds to your question, I just believe he should be a fighter, but I was thinking of a non-speaking role. Such as he had in MK1. He doesn't necessarily have to be Sub-Zero. Besides, Sub-Zero is dead.

We talking about a MK movie... Which is the most important, thus? Acting, or fights? Personally, a MK with characters having good acting, but not good fighting skills, that doesn't really interest me... In MK1, acting was not extraordinary (although I liked all the same when Johnny , Liu or Sonya jibed, lol), but fights were very good (except for Sonya/Bridgette, who needed a bit supplementary training)... In MK Annihilation, ahem, except for Jax character, there is nothing to save in this movie... :/

The Problem with Annihilation was the fact that they worked with an extra 10 million dollar budget and the movie looked like it was a fan made film.

As long as he keeps his 'mask' on, they could easily dub his voice and nobody would be any the wiser..
