Liu Kang Vs. Reptile in MK

In the first movie, Liu Kang stomped Reptile's throat in.
He did it because Reptile was a bad guy who attacked him.
The End.

Simple answer: Reptile is on the bad guy's side. End of the story. *edited* I forgot to point out that Reptile never died. He just got defeated by Liu Kang. They never feature Reptile in MKA for some reason.

This is actually a fair question. i mean, Liu got his ass handed to him, got thrown around the room. And suddenly as if nothing happened threw reptile acroos the room and Reptile never recovered and lost, after that throw the fight was over! utter bullcrap in my opinion!

I guess when you get the shit beat out of you, turned back into a frail creature and then get your neck stomped on and squished you only get ''defeated''.

This is an interesting question that I had discussed with people before. It's ironic that Liu kills Reptile, though he barely knows anything about him, but gives Shang Tsung a chance to surrender, though he knows that Shang killed a countless number of people, including his brother.
My point is that Liu found Reptile to be a bigger danger to his safety than he did Shang. As with all extremely dangerous adversaries whose strength one fears, he needed to move in for the kill as soon as the chance made itself available, and not risk his neck by giving Reptile the chance to surrender. Same point goes for Sonya vs Kano.

Sonya wouldn't give Shang a chance either though. She knew just what she wanted to do, and that was take out her rage by killing Kano.
Nice observation though. Yeah, Reptile kicked Kang's ass alot more than Shang did. This is interesting. In MKC, Shang Tsung always had balanced matches with Kung Lao (and always lost), but Rain beat the shit out of the Mortal Kombat champion. Hurray for the masked assassins.
