I'm not sure fans will care whether "his" Liu Kang will be vegan, but I'm pretty sure fans would be receptive to what hopefully was an error in calling Liu Kang a "Mongolian Shaolin Monk" when he should have said "Shaolin Monk"

For a history of the "Shaolin Monk" (it's really a Buddhist thing from China, not at all from Mongolia) check out this link: https://www.thoughtco.com/history-of-the-shaolin-monks-195814

It would bother me a bit if they changed his country of origin or the fact that he is a Shaolin Monk, because that had been part of his story pretty much forever. From my understanding, there are no branches of the Shaolin temples outside of China. Also I believe people outside of China cannot become a true "Shaolin Monk", although they can still be taught and trained by them. I dont know for 100 percent sure about that last one; maybe there could be an exception since the countries are so close in proximity.

Either way, "shaolin monk" is a big part of Liu Kang's character, so if they are compromising that in any way, I hope there's a very good reason for it.
