...teenage rebel whining?slipknot?...you must not even listen to it to make a dumbass comment like that..alright...ill agree that maybe.. just MAYBE they should use a -little- bit of techno...maybe for the minor fights, but when it comes time for the more important ones they should kick in the metal..or at least some industrial rock( rock with techno mixed in more so than usual)but yeah...that comment...about the whining.. that's bs...listen to the music and learn somethign about it before you diss it..

Slipknot is mediocre at best. I have all thier CDs except for the new one and they all sound... meh. Thier new CD is so watered down it's unbearable.

Mortal Kombat would be fucking BAD ASS if it had some heavy metal. I'm talking Drowning Pool and Adema and Nine Inch Nails... my god... it would be AWESOME.

Yeah i think metal would be awesome for mortal kombat 3, some techno as well like Linkin Park techno. As for metal goes they should have System of a down, Disturbed, Static-X, Chevelle, SlipKnot, Papa Roach, Korn.

Ok lets be serious here..cud u seriously see scorpion and subzero fight to SLIPKNOT? like im sorry but slipknot to me is just screaming and loud nosies (and i am a metal fan, i just hate slipknot and korn) but what if you had techno, with guitars, drums and bass? it is very rare to find, but one example is Tatu (the lesbian skool girls locked behind a fence) there 1st song, all the things she said, was a whole mix of guitar, drums and techno (but u mostly heard techno, the guitars n drums were dimmed down a bit).. i actually liked the song.. it was a good mixture.. all you wud need is to make the song a bit faster, with louder guitars and drums and it wud be GREAT!
anyone agree?

Yeah your right SlipknoT wouldnt be good during a fight, i dont like them either, i only like one song from them and that is "Duality"
The fact is they used both metal and techno for the first MK movie so both should be incorporated in the next movie.
The best metal band was and is fear factory because they are heavy but include techno beats and melodic elements to their songs. i think they should be back for the music in the next movie.
Fight scenes with Fear Factory then dramatic scenes with techno, remember Lui Kangs finale at the end when he beat shang sung, that ws good techno for that sort of scence.

i think they should use whatever sounds right for that moment of the film, forget about whats cool and which bands would rule.the music just has to fit and be as seemless as the fighting its self. just as zero signal by fear factory fitted perfectly in the scorpion johnny cage fight.

i think the techno music was a nice touch, but they could use a lot of heavy and death metal in the fighting scenes. i know Kalmah would sound awesome cause their guitar is badass, and they don't sing a whole lot. it's one of those things that u either hate or love. i can picture some kalmah and some techno in the soundtrack.

teh..wow..you got people bashing people about thier lack of knowledge with music when they dont know anything as well...anyways, Thier are bands out there that, if given the opportunity and know something about the movie and are a fan of it, they do REALLY great tracks for movies... and ya know what.. Slipknot is one of them, you cant call yourself a fan and then turn around and say thier mellowed down and/or suck now or whatever..i believe that's contradicting yourself...theres metal and industrial bands who you can understand and have a nice rhythm to it..i think most of you are just either die hard fans of techno and/or just too use to techno dominating the mk scene to where you dont want to see it change in fear of it loosing it's attraction... i love techno and trance.. but seriously though, the movie could definately be improved with a musical change...that's EXCLUDING orchestra(sp?) ...i hated how they did that to the one matrix movie and star wars.. and i still hate it now..

Techno sounds to much like computermusic to me. I had this little program on my PC that can make that type of music.

The music of MK1 worked fine with me, hard rock, metal, mixed with orchastrated music. I hope George S Clinton does the soundtrack again.

The music should be based on what goes well with the movie itself. If it involves more techno than metal...so be it and vice versa. The music should go with the contents of the movie, not so much on which is better.

u're kind of right. slipknot wouldn't go along with MK. maybe death metal is too much ( some bands), but techno is not enough. some metal and heavy would do the trick. something with quality, like NOT slipknot or manson. use to listen to that stuff but they're not exactly gifted. not saying we should listen to michael angelo batio on the soundtrack ( even though he's been called the fastest guitar player on the planet- and he's just skills to earn it), but then again it would actually sound pretty cool
