Oh wow, matching or exceeding NECA? Yes please grin

While I've been collecting the Jazwares figures, they still don't have the same "articulating statue" look that NECA figures have. But if you all would be stepping up to the plate, I would certainly be quite happy!

But, would your focus be on the recent MK? Classic MKs? Both? Either way, while I would love new figures for Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and the "regulars", people have said the same thing, time and time again: No real love for the female fighters. Sonya, Kitana, Mileena, and so on. I mean, I think the only female MK figure was the G.I.Joe-esque Sony Blade from the mid-90s! You all could be the first to address this problem.

Anyway, hope to hear/see more from Syco about this prospect!

We haven't actually discussed the possibilities yet internally as we are waiting to see how much demand there is, but I would say that 'anything is on the cards' - Our licence covers MK1-3 and MK (2011) ;)

All the fighters from MK (2011) could be great. MK hasn't had a complete line of figures since the G.I. Joe ones - and those were a lot better quality than Jazwares in terms of longevity and paint. I still have the MK G.I. Joes but if I were to buy Jazwares and open them they wouldn't last beyond a year.

If you can exceed NECA, go for it. All else fails begin with the MK1 line - all the people from MK1. If that succeeds, move on to 2.

Us hardcore collectors love to collect more things when they're priced reasonably - an MK figure with NECA quality could easily go for $20. Hardcore collectors like me will be more than likely to actually buy the smaller items than to try and buy the statues. Especially since us hardcore collectors have other collections.

While we may have preferences within our working relationships and forum guidelines, we can't really control what people say. MKO didn't have any problem with this thread and made it clear. Unfortunately, individuals representing Syco felt it was necessary to remove this content. I won't want to speculate about the reason for that, or the frame of reference chosen.

By all means, continue discussing the Syco Collectible bid to make action figures. I'm sure opinions and interest will still get back to them. They're currently asking people like their facebook to 'start a serious conversation' about it. You might like to take them up on that, too.

Anyone but Jazwares! Syco obviously has great sculpts, that shows a lot of potential. I couldn't imagine Jazwares making a statue.
If Syco were to make figures, here's what they need to do;
-make all the characters from MK9, not just a certain few
-include multiple points of articulation
-detailed paint!
-accessories
Most importantly, don't just make a bunch of ninjas!!!

I am absolutely all for this. I have been wanting some nice, quality sculpted MK figures FOREVER. Everything that has ever come out (besides Infinite Concepts) has been utter crap. The Jazzware figures are awful.

I am actually extremely impressed with everything that I have seen from Syco. I am ANXIOUSLY waiting to see their Sonya statues, as these are definite buys for me. If I can scrap up extra cash, I am very interested in even more.

The action figures would be a better price set and I believe have the potential to be very, very popular. Look at McFarlane. The quality and passion is there for Syco, and I think they should absolutely produce a line.

Essentially, it would be amazing if they could do every character from the MK 2011 game. The definite first wave should include the cast from MK 1. Then they could distribute and produce the following characters in a sequential time line.

I for one am VERY excited about this and will absolutely be a purchaser. PLEASE oh PLEASE include female characters. I've always wanted a nice Sonya figure.

I really stand behind the company and their choices thus far. I am impressed - truly. I'm eager to see what's next.
