UPDATE! I FOUND IT! That was a little too easy... well, not entirely, I had to get into my parents' garage, which looks like an episode of Hoarders, and try to find a bin of VHS tapes. After looking hard enough, I found a tape that said "MK2 Movie Preview", and confirmed that it was the ET preview!
I can't upload it quite yet, but hopefully by tomorrow. In the meantime, I can at least tell you what's on it:
-A decent amount of behind the scenes clips from the Liu Kang/Kitana/Sub-Zero VS Smoke fight, as well as a bit of the Raiden vs raptors fight (clearly showing Ray Park doubling for James Remar)
-Quickie interviews with Robin Shou, Keith Cooke Hirabayashi, Talisa Soto, Lynn Williams, and Irina Pantaeva
-And a good deal of shots from the theatrical trailer as the ET host talks about the film.
It's pretty complete overall, it just slightly cuts off near the end when the Mary Hart-wannabe is about to say when the film comes out... but we all know it was fall 1997
Also, as a bonus, I found a tape I recorded later that year with TV spots for MKA. I can upload those as well if you'd like!
I don't have the TBS premiere of the first film though, sorry

Need to get some sleep, but I'll upload the 4 TV spots tomorrow

Spot 1: http://youtu.be/VK_r03oajro
Spot 2: http://youtu.be/Lq-fwS0pWeg
Spot 3: http://youtu.be/n_FS2GV9Q2k
Spot 4: http://youtu.be/lfg3QQnWOFo
Also, sorry the quality of the spots isn't as high as the ET segment. Since I planned to record ET, I recorded in SP, but the commercials were "happy accidents" while recording TV shows in SLP/EP mode in Nov '97.
I wonder if anyone has the other TV spots, that start out like, IN 7 DAYS. And the very next day, it would start like, IN 6 DAYS.
You know, I know MK:A sucks. But, after watching the behind the scenes thing on ET and the 4 tv spots. I kinda wanna watch it again now lol. Watching the spots and hearing, STARTS FRIDAY, really brought back memories for me, back in 1997.
Same here... as I captured these files, I was thinking "what the hell is going on... why do I suddenly want to watch this? THIS?!"
