From MK:Revolution, which I thought this was interesting, but it also made me seriously mad for them to cut such a scene out...

"Along with probably hours of unused fight scene footage, there have also been reports of a completely alternate ending to the film, where Shinnok is seen in the Netherealm conversing with the sorcerer Quan Chi, who is otherwise not seen in the film. All the ending consists of is Shinnok asking if everything is going according to plan, Quan Chi nods yes, and they both leave. This leaves things open for a third movie."

Now this leads me to believe that there were more scenes cut from the movie that gave more appearances of Rain, Mileena, Baraka, Scorpion, Sub-Zero and other characters and let them do a bit of REAL acting instead of just kick, punch, punch, kick, my role is now over. You know what I mean?

Well there were lots of scenes that were cut out, but the only one I can remember off the top of my head right now is the Liu Kang and Rayden vs Sheeva fight, which was suppose to be awesome.

Oh cool! I had never heard about that. How was it going to be? You know anything more?
It's in the Marjean Holden fight night transcript on the MK IRC Network page.

As for the fight. She says that it was going to take place in the Edenian temple ruin after Raiden had done the Reptiles (I think).

But either way, it was cut because it was going to cost over a million dollars because of the CG arms.

It's a shame as it may have been one of the very few redeaming features of MKA (only one I can think of is the music).

Is any of this on film or is it all on paper?

I think Scorpion would have appeared later on in the film in at least one scene. I even thought as far as Nightwolf maybe being cast to fight in the final battle with Scorpion or Noob Saibot.

I remember seeing a poster for a foreign release of the movie, and it had the actors pictures lined up along the bottom. Quan Chi was one of them.

I heard that after Lui Kang beats the 4 Barakas, Fujin comes through the ceiling to Destroy Kitana and Kui Kang. Also, in the Jax-Cyrax fight, just before Cyrax gets thrown by Sonya into the pipes, he creatres a clone of himself which is red (Sektor).grin

I'm certain that's bullshit.

Again, were any of these scenes actually shot? Or were they just cut out of a script?

You think there was ever a scene where the showed Kabal and Styker being killed? I remember hearing Rain saying, "Two of the earth's best warriors have already been defeated, Kabal, and Stryker." I bet they probably had that scene in mind. Heh.

Kabal and Stryker didn't get killed because Kahn asked him: "Tell me, did you make them beg for their lives before destroying them?", then Rain said: "But master, I thought if we kept them alive...", then Kahn interupts him.

I think they were all on paper but didnt get filmed because of cost.

MKA had some good points.

Sub-Zero(unmasked looked pretty cool)

Rain and Ermac looked cool too.

Sheeva and kintaro were done well.

Mileena

I'll just say they did a good job on just about every character eccept Jax's arms.

The problem with the film was the bad script and suck Director and the fact that the movie was being made to attract children.

And of course the low budget.

Don't you mean Sheeva and MOtaro? Anyway, the costume on Sindel was pretty good and like you said, Jax's arms weren't done very well. Remember, it was done in 1997, where graphics were starting to become real like.

Yea, i heard about the fight with Sheeva! That would have been an AWESOME fight. I'm not sure, but i also heard that there was also a deleted fight between Rain and Kitana. That when Kitana was in that cage, Rain let her out and tried to kiss her and stuff, but then Kitana killed him and she tried to escape, but then Mileena came in and started beating her up, until Kahn came in and inerrupted and told MIleena to go kill Sonya Blade. I heard that. Also, that QUan Chi was in the ending.

Quan Chi was at the end, they just cut that out. Shinnok asks him if everything is going according to plan and Quan Chi nods yes. Then that leaves it open to MK3.

I also remember seeing a cast list for MKA (I don't think it was IMDB) with an actor for Kung Lao listed. Whether he was cast and cut, or just a fan rumour, I don't know.

actually,if i remember correctly, rain said that kabal and stryker were killed.also, when kahn asked rain that,i think he was talking about the earth's warriors present in the film--which is why kahn killed him.
if someone recently saw this movie then u can describe that scene better than me.

That wording could have meant that Rain did have them killed, or did not. He could have been afraid of keeping them alive.

I like the Kitana/Rain/Mileena one. I think Rain vs. Kabal & Stryker should have happened, too.

YEa, i think it would have been really cool if they left a fight between Rain and Kitana and then Mileena beating the heck outa Kitana.

N E ways, i also heard in this Mileena site that Mileena was the person that killed Stryker. Hmm, i think it might be true......... But i have no idea wat happended to Kabal.

Oh, yea, and y did they leave out Sector and Kintaro. I think that they could have used Kintaro to hunt down Sonya and Jax and later them fighting. And they could have used Sector attacking the Lin KUei temple and Sub Zero killin him.

Now that i see, there was TOO many characters that were in MKA and there were some missing. I think that they should NOT have puttin MK2 and MK3 together. It was sort of unorganized and more characters wud have been able to have a good role.
