Money....people who backed the series weren't making enough off of it. There was a 2nd season planned but no one wanted to pay for it.

The ratings were pretty bad since it was on at like 11 on Monday night. The show did have a loyal following though. Check the petition thread, we're trying to get it released on dvd.

what story was planed fot this second season? i know omegis would have a big role for the ressurection of kung lao and others, but after? thank :)

All I know about the planned second season was that the Elder Gods were suppose to bring everyone back to life due to Shao Kahn breaking the rules. How they were going to do this and the rest of the planned 2nd season I have no info on. Even the writers said that the way the series ended was crappy, it was meant to be a season finale not a series finale.
