Which one was worst? Kid, I think u mean which one was ''good''. And please, dont say ''MK1'' and ''MK2''. Or at least kall ''MK2'' MKA instead.

Dont dis MK1 it was a great kung fu type movie that even non-mk fans could greatly enjoy its fights and original and easily followable storyline. It receved great ratings on big TV shows like E! and others. however just because mka was like a big video game cut scene people seem to look down on its clasic anscestor.

I didn't see any dissing on Zentile's post. Besides, about your converting, I'm a great example. Considering my age at the time, that was the only form of MK media that I COULD get involved in.

I think number 1 was cool. Number 2 wasn't as good but I still bought it.

MKA was underrated, it wasn't as good as MK1, but it is still enjoyable cuz of the non stop action... 7/10

MK had decent funny parts for both kids and adults.
MKA was non stop fighting and constant re-use of stock footage. i think they should have spent more time working on the Charicters and not just throwing them in randomly(cue Millina).

i baught both and have fun tearing them appart with my friends.

In my opinion Annihilation was a lot worse than the first movie... which I don't exactly consider a great movie either.

I think the original Mortal Kombat movie was the better movie, Annihilation followed suit in the 'sequel curse'. There was more action in MKA, but it wasn't as good as the original and the overall quality of the movie fell short of my own expectations. Christopher Lambert was the perfect Raiden, in my opinion. He just brought something to the role, and he had the voice to fit the character. The actor in MKA was okay, but not near as good as CL

Ok now we all know that the first MK movie was like 10 times better than MKA. I mean we see Ermac, Rain, Baraka, Motaro, and the others but they don't do anything special.

I mean we don't see Rain but 4 minutes and then he's thrown into the fire. (Acutally it was 2 times but the second was supposed to be Baraka)

Then Ermac is....well.....he's just there! Why doesn't he do anything special? at least let him do the Tele Slam or something.

And the animalities........I can't believe they made them look so stupid!!! I mean they should have made Kang into the dragon like in MK2.

But the first was waaaay better than the second.

What scares me is that Tyrone Wiggins is actually a martial artist and stuntman.

Why does it scare you? If Tyrone Wiggins actually talks like Rain then I'd be REALLY scared.

They hired an expert martial artist and stuntman to play as Rain. That's scary.

ok, we have hired the best stunt man and martial artist for a posing postion and to have him die with 5 min of screen time. ^_^

MK1 was definitely better. MKA was only an ok movie because it had more characters.

I thought this has been established that MK1 kicked MKA's ass big time... To be honest, I like noth movies... But MK1 cannot be beat... BTW, the ninjas in MKA, their costumes are probably heavy and constricting... Nobody in their right mind would wear something like that for fighting, hence, the movie doesn't make sense in that way.

I agree. Especially with Millina, she was as random as you get. It sucks that Ermac didn't do much. (He was kinda hot too.)

I think both movies are great and enjoyable, but the first Mortal kombat is the one I liked the most. The Animalities killed it for MKA its was too fake, not that I expect them to look real but come on.
