Apparently pre-production has been completed on MK3 for a while now. Its news to me, so I decided to make a little thread on why its going to suck.

I'm not anti-MK or anything, but I think we can all come to terms with the fact that if MK3 actually hits theatres, its just going to suck terribly hard. Suck the chrome right off of Jax's arms.

Here's some points:

Director: John R Leonetti

This guy couldn't direct his way out of a nutsack. He is responsible for MK Anhilliation. Until you get Paul Anderson back in the director's chair, there is no hope to be had.

Tagline: The gods have fallen... The tournament has been broken... The rules no longer matter...

...Am I supposed to be excited?

Plot Summary: After Liu Kang, Sonya, and Jax defeated the forces of Outworld and prevented its merger with Earth, Shao Kahn exacts his revenge by forming an alliance with the powerful sorcerer Quan Chi. Together, they open a portal to Earth in a bid for ultimate domination. Lord Rayden, now an elder god, becomes dismayed by this horrific turn of events and calls forth the warriors of Mortal Kombat once more. Discovering a loophole in the rules of the tournament, and needing every ounce of help he can get, Rayden summons forth the soul of deceased warrior Johnny Cage and resurrects him so that he may join his fellow fighters and send Shao Kahn and his allies back to hell once and for all.

Seems so "not true", but hey, we all saw MK Anhilliation and if we read the plot summary to that before we saw the movie we would have thought the same thing. Its a big bowl of retarded.

Christopher Lambert is back... I wonder if he read the script? Maybe he did. If you all will remember he was in a little film called Highlander: End Game.
