According to Mehcad Brooks, who played Jax, a known activist who pleaded with fans to embrace the first movie as production began, filming will begin January 2023.

The same source also notes Todd Gardner can't wait to return to Australia, suggesting the film will return to the country, likely having the same feel to it.
