Josh Lawson and Max Huang are both reportedly returning for the sequel which makes me wonder if Huang is playing the Great Kung Lao and Kano is now more of a cyborg hence his metal plate? Or are they returning for some flashback scenes? I'm partial on casting of some of the new members. The story in the first movie doesn't make me want to return to another. If they current developers cannot follow the story we know plus add additional fighters that were not supposed to be in the story until later it throws me off wanting to see a sequel that will be just an action film with its own story. I still wish they would have redone the original 1995 film's story in some way with the actors we had. At least the 1995 film followed the MK story.

For the sequel I'll wait for home video like I did with its original.
