Arrow has finally announced and released full details to both their upcoming Mortal Kombat Kollection box set featuring both Mortal Kombat (1995) and Mortal Kombat Annihilation (1997) on 4K and Bluray, unfortunately only one disc type per set.

Release is planned for June right after the second reboot movie.

Some physical features include reversible newly commissioned artwork by Matt Griffin and original VHS artwork; a collector's book (these are small and often fit inside the collector's box), and two fold-out posters featuring the original posters and the new artwork.

Bonus features are packed and many are new so many fans may feel disappointed by not having the original Laserdisc audio commentary. However each movie will have 2 brand new audio commentaries by the directors of each film. Also, newer features include new interviews with various cast and crew - notice an importance given to Johnny Cage. Vintage extras appear to be the popular short featurette - A Journey Behind the Scenes - from Mortal Kombat: The Journey Begins. Unfortunately the animated prequel will not make an appearance and can only be found on the Warner Bros Bluray disc. Also appearing in an official capacity are B-roll interviews, probably the ones I provided to many sites like MKSecrets years ago.

This is the first time any real attempt has been made to making either film feature-rich here in America. The US Bluray for the first film gave us a trailer and the animated prequel in 480p format (despite being on a 1080p Bluray disc). Various international editions of the DVDs often contained interviews and B-rolls. The laserdisc was notable for providing both higher quality sound and an audio commentary by the producer and Visual FX supervisior.

Full list of all features below but I recommend clicking these links and seeing them from Arrow yourself:
