Ok, so ever since I saw the RE movie with the audio commentary on (where Paul Anderson points out various Alice in Wonderland references in the movie) and I started reading Alice in Wonderland, I've started seeing Alice in Wonderland references EVERYWHERE.
For instance, I noticed the characters Sub-Zero and Scorpion in the first movie. ''Scorpion and Sub-Zero...deadliest of enemies, but slaves under my power''. Reminded me of the Unicorn and the Lion. Enemies who are always fighting around, but both of them still serve the king together.
Also, Rayden wears a strange hat and when he's telling Sonya, Liu and Cage about mortal kombat, he almost sounds a bit...Insane. Mad.

I dont know. Maybe I'm just getting paranoid. But I thought, since Anderson directed both MK and RE, he had some sort of Alice in Wonderland fetish and decided to put AIW references in all of his movies...
Has anyone else spotted AIW references in MK?

How far does the rabbit hole go? Maybe as far as Outworld. wink

I don't know about MK, but if you haven't already, you might like to go back and watch the Matrix. Some obvious, and not-so obvious references in there.

If you're a comic fan, you'll appreciate Bat-rogue, the Mad Hatter, a lot more too. Apart from the obvious name, many of his rhyme and reason is taken from Lewis Carol.

Lewis Carrol is the shit, plain and simple. I read Alice's Adventures in Wonderland when I was 12 and then Through the Looking Glass, been in love ever since.
