Does anyone know what it is and where it can be found and why it can't be found online? Even a screen shot or so would help.

Ah, yes, I have this. I've posted some photos (and a screenshot) on my Twitpic account:

Do I dare to enter Outworld? Oh, I dare... I DARE!!!

Just for completion's sake, here's the back of The Ultimate Guide to MK CD-ROM.

Here's the inside and CD for the Ultimate Guide to MK CD-ROM.

One of the my faves out of my entire MK collection - The Ultimate Guide to MK CD-ROM!

What is this? I've heard of it before, but don't know what's included on it.

The Ultimate Guide to Mortal Kombat was a flash-based computer program that provided strategies, storylines, tips, and exclusive content regarding the film, animated film (The Journey Begins), Live Tour, and Kombat gear (stuff to buy). It was, in all essence, a promotional product put out by Threshold to help promote the film, games, live tour, and animated video, all of which were happening around the time of its release (1995). It includes features like behind-the-scenes footage of the film and animated video, development details about the games, and interactive features like performing a fatality and answering trivia questions to learn about how something was made in the movie.

I found a copy I had and have begun ripping out the information. You will find the movie notes and game stories and more here:

It is important to note there were two secrets this CD had, and neither had anything to do with MK. 1. The CD had a development document inside that explained it was a work in progress. 2. At the end of the program when the credits rolled, pictures of the staff of IMA (including Josh Wexler)

"Tis true my form is something odd, But blaming me is blaming God. Could I create myself anew, I would not fail in pleasing you. If I could reach from pole to pole, Or grasp the ocean with a span, I would be measured by the soul, The mind's the standard of the man."
