They do change around the story so they could've made him Asian.

So 1 scene.. out of the entire 70 minutes, 10 seconds spoils it for you :/

What about the whole origin of Mileena. It was pretty contradictory to the game's "Alien 3" version of how Mileena was created.

MK2 never specified when exactly Mileena was created. And regardless of the fact that the MK team likes to retcon and change the storyline, I'll take their story over Legacy anyway. It's not like Raiden's flashes would've affected Mileena's origin.

a) It's not 10 seconds, it's a timeless change in character motives and actions

b) I didn't say it spoils it for me, nobody did. I love MK Legacy. But every time someone points something out about the series you act like they're hating on it.

c) A change is a change. What kind of question is ''how did they change the story besides that one time when they changed the story?"

I understand your concern, and I'm not having a go at ya. I'm just pointing out that there will always be differences between source materials and media. The Scorpion/ Sub Zero rivalry has a whole new layer added because of Quan Chi's involvement now.

Sub Zero didnt kill Scorpion, but Scorpion will still hunt him down at the tournament, giving Quan Chi two of the world's best fighters for Netherealm. Genius plan if you think about it

Not directly, but it actually does.
Considering Kitana's MK2 ending has her believing that Mileena's her twin sister until she learns the truth, and considering the official MK2 Comic shows the two of them alongside Shang Tsung, Kintaro, Reptile, and Baraka helping them face the Earth warriors, it's implied they grew up together.
Mileena wasn't made right before MK3's Earth invasion like she was in the latest game; that's a huge and important change in the canon.

Yeah, that is true. Still, I don't think they executed those episodes of The Legacy particularly well.

And besides, Legacy changed Jax's storyline as well. Implying at the end that his arms were badly damaged which would be kind of an explanation of how he got his metal arms. Regardless of how the new MK depicted it, Jax DID have his normal arms in MK2, so getting them messed up beforehand doesn't comply with the canon at all. Besides, in the original storyline, I'm pretty sure that his real arms were never actually damaged.
