Where did you get this information?

Damn, no THX?

Somehow, I highly doubt it, if it's true, then great, but filming of the MK 3 Movie doesn't start until August so how could this Reissue MK DVD have Sneak Preview stuff of the MK 3 Movie unless they have filmed some stuff already no sites or fans no about.

If anything, New Line needs to do something with this next year for the 10th anniversary. Here's what should be on:
-The theatrical release, presented in a remastered 1.85:1 animorphic enhanced widescreen format.
-Brand new 5.1 and DTS remixes.
-Alternate music-only track... just for the hell of it.
-Audio Commentary by Laurence Kasinoff and Allison Savitch... Supposedly this was on the old laserdisc.
-Brand new commentary by director Paul W.S. Anderson.
-Brand new interviews with Paul Anderson, Robin Shou, Linden Ashby, Bridgette Wilson, Christopher Lambert, Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa, and Ed Boon.
-The original behind-the-scenes documentary featured on the Mortal Kombat: The Animated Movie video.
-The rare TNT documentary... I have this hiding in my video collection somewhere... I'll find it someday!
-Deleted/Extended Scenes.
-Alternate Scenes.
-Before and After CG effects montage.
-Theatrical teaser... vaguely remember this playing before the craptacular Street Fighter movie.
-Theatrical trailer
-TV Spots
-Soundtrack advertisement... this was shown before the movie started on the original release video
-Music videos... if any. I know KMFDM made one for Juke Joint Jezebel, but not sure if it was made for the version used in the movie.
-Photo galleries
And possibly the first draft script in DVD-ROM format. As for THX, I don't think New Line has ever churned out the money for THX certification. Only companies that really seem to do this on DVD the most are Fox, Disney, and Anchor Bay.
Overall, this would probabaly have to be a 2-disc set. However, after the disaster known as MK: Annihilation lived up to its name by annihilating the MK movie franchise, not sure how dedicated New Line would be to make this and get all of these features.

He didn't get any "information", he is just hoping that they will re-issue it.
Or......for both MK/MKA, they could make a big special edition, with new and extended scenes, but you have the option of viewing the movie with those scenes integrated, or view them seperate, though it'd just be easier to rerelease the theatrical version of both movies, with VERY COOL special features(making of documentaries, trailers and tv spots, making of MK: Deception)....okay, it'll be very hard to explain this in paragraph, so let me just list what nice features they could do for the 10th anniversary...
MK/MKA Theatrical version:
Disc 1 w/movie with commentary from cast and crew
Disc 2:
Trailers
TV spots
Making of Mortal Kombat documentaries from TV, animated video, etc.
Making of MK Deception w/a new trailer
Maybe as a easter egg they could have the fight videos from MK:Federation of Martial Arts that was on mortalkombat.com
Deleted Scenes
MK/MKA Extended Edition(just like LOTR):
Disc 1 w/movie with new and extended scenes integrated
Commentary
Disc 2(maybe a 3): More documentaries with pre-production, production, and post-production footage
It'd be no problem for me, as I'll buy them both, like I did with the LOTR theatrical/extended DVDs.
And maybe near the release of MK3 bring out MK Conquest and MK Defenders of the Realm in stores.

If MK3 is a hit, it's very possible for New Line to re issue it. It means more money for them, simple as that.

I really want a DTS version, or behind the scenes stuff I really think that was necessary to have!
Come on New Line!!!

If they push MK3 hard and it appears it will do decent business, I could see some sort of redux for the first two films perhaps. I wouldn't expect a ton of stuff on them...maybe a new transfer/better audio and a director commentary or something.
I am NOT a fan of "ignoring" the second film. Yeah, it was pretty crappy but it's still there, and it's really stupid when movie franchises do the "we'll just pretend it never happened" thing. They act like the audience is retarded. As long as the third movie is better than the first two, there's no reason to ignore the second one.

Yeah, like, this newb don't know nothing, bro. Good thing you and I are veterans. Old school forever.

The lazerdisc has DTS! So it is possible for a DTS track, and maybe done pretty cheap. Still I see no chance of a MK3 film hitting theaters. Besides do we want Paul Hack Anderson thinking any of his films are good? He may try to do another AvP.

I am NOT a newb, you AREl!
Of course, MK Deception trailer isn't needed now, but you are a newbie so you don't see the thread is actually Created in June!!!
I have been a member of the MK community for years, OK? I am perhaps much older than you, BOTH in the forums and in age!
The deleted scenes & Commentary was just forgotten and that was a shame, but NO big deal!
