With EGM and Gamepros as far back as the late 80s.

I myself am trying to find magazine interviews and ads for the first and second MK films and I stumbled upon these. If anyone knows the magazines and issues where these were featured please let me know.

Retro mags to me seem way better than the current mags. The behind the scenes pics, sketches, interviews, screenshots, all seemed to blow the reader away. But these days, they don't seem to do astound as much. Maybe it's because they don't devote the same number of pages to MK or probably because of the influence of the internet.

I agree and was thinking the same things as I browsed through the GamePro 1995 magazines - every other edition had something about Mortal Kombat it seems.
