DTV is becoming a big market, alot of high budget films are choosing DTV over theatricle because it means more money. Threshould is spending all this time on the film, i think they are being paranoid, after MKA i think thats why the script have been re-written 101 times and thats why they have the MK team involved.
But what do you think? Should the rest of the MK series just be DTV? Not saying it'll be less in quality, but it would give threshould MORE time to focus on story/characters and over all the film, instead of blowing all their money and years of our life time trying to get this crap into theaters.
DTV,Theatricle, idc, but i feel you can do more with DTV, you dont have to cater to non game fans.

You couldn't figure it out? come on. DTV-Direct to video, STV-Straight to video, same thing.
About Me

no. Most DTV or Direct to Video movies suck. And even the ones that are good (the rare few)get overlooked.

thxs for explanations...but i agree with the guy above me.
90% of cases DVd straight edition or Tv straigh edition sucks, and not always are localized in all languages, and very rarely a fan make subtitles...and it sucks.
no thxs i'll wait 2010 in theaters

It could go either way.
But if it goes direct to video/tv or what have you.
Threshold would have more money to invest in other things and not have to worry so much about a budget. If they could make a good movie that goes direct to tv or dvd then so be it.I think after they make it honestly it will probably be in limited release and won't see a wide release. You can wait until 2010 all you want or 2012 or even 2020 cause you never know how much longer this movie will actually take to be made if ever.
What was it like3 or 5 years ago when it was always supposed to come out the next year we have these same conversations on here all the time.If you dont hear anything about it near the end of 2008 or in the middle of 2009 watch the release date change to 2013-15.
But lets just hope it gets made either way even if its just direct to video or in the movies theatres.

I agree with sonic, i think if it was DTV they wouldn't have to be so worried and paranoid and ofcourse it'll be out quicker. Sonic is right, at first it was 2002, then 2003, then 2005, then 2007, now 2010, pretty soon its gonna be 2015.
