Mortal Kombat Conquest was pretty campy but there is some people who have nostalgia for it, should vorpax be introduced as a character in the video game storyline?

Vorpax is essentially Conquest's equivalent of Tanya, so ... I'd rather see Tanya return first.

I don't imagine NRS would have the rights. Characters created by Threshold are probably owned by Threshold.
Also, Vorpax and Kreeya's race were functionally some kind of bee-people...and we now have D'Vorah. Who actually looks like a bee, as opposed to a normal human.

Who?

Oh. I'm going to say no. There's zero demand for anything from Conquest to appear in the main series.
You can't even justify her presence in MKX as a tribute to Conquest because as far as I know, Conquest wasn't well received. I'll admit I never watched it, but I've never seen anything positive spoken about Conqeust.
Maybe I'm wrong and Conquest is celebrated by a significant cult following, and if that's the case... well, my answer is still no. Nothing about Vorpax interests me.

Yup. And i'm always surprised at the amount of people who think otherwise considering they are essentially bigfoot riding unicorns, or at least they are vocal, bigfoot riding unicorns.
And all I remember from conquest is the main character who played Kung Lao (I think) wore skin colored pants and I constantly do a double take anytime I see something from that show. You just know at some point, for one scene in one episode, the dude straight up was like fuck it I'm doin this one without pants EVERYONE STAND BACK
Not before we get Siro "THE GREATEST MORTAL KOMBAT CHARACTEEERR!!!" Or the Doctor who put Kano back together, or Tiger Man from the movie OH! and definitely not before we get a Shadow Priest as a playable character! *glances over at Shang giving a disapproving look* What?!

Oh, this just took me back in time. :D
On a more serious note, most original MKC characters are either tweaked characters from the games, or not interesting enough to warrant their inclusion in the games. This doesn't take into account the rights issue mentioned earlier.
Plus, MKC has influenced the lore of the MK games a lot more than what's apparent at first glance. D'vorah is the Kreeyan race, Delia has possibly been influenced by Omegis, and Quan Chi and Shang Tsung were allies in the show (for one episode anyway) way before MKDA was announced.

Her bulging camel toe should be MKX's Final Boss.

MK Conquest was the best thing that happened to this franchise.
Yes and no for Vorpax.
She was great, but, as far as I'm concerned, she's dead.
D'Vorah should be the last living member of that race.

It seems that people hate MKC, but I honestly cant see why. I LOVED Mortal Kombat Conquest, and it's a pity there wasn't a second season. Anyway, I wouldn't include anyone from the show in the game due to the fact that they are not canon, and because there is absolutely no reason to do it.

I guess this brings up something else, is D'vorah Kreeyan? Is she a reimagined throwback to MKC modernized to be a suitable addition to the mortal kombat video game mythos?
I wouldn't mind some more characters from further back in time/the mythos.

No Vorpax please.

No to Vorpax. I would rather have Emerald in MKX before any outer character. Emerald was a hidden fight in MKII.

Anyone assuming Conquest didn't have a strong cult following is almost certainly describing their own disinterest, or ignorance. There's a swath of fans who clearly never saw it, but good, bad, or indifferent, it played a big part in the post-MK4 culture. It was a real void filler smack dab in the middle of the uncertain lull between MK4 and MKDA. Crossover requests like these were a whole lot more common back then, into the early 2000s. Folks from the mk5.org days should certainly remember it.
The show was decent for what it was and absolutely had its fans. Not enough to demand bleeding into the games themselves, but the games have had a knack for following some similar roads over the years. D'Vorah is the latest example. Convergent logics, as much as any deliberate reference.
Now that we're well and truly beyond the Threshold Entertainment era - it's questionable whether Conquest has any real contemporary relevance. No matter the year, Threshold's work rarely had any direct importance to the video games themselves. We covered the licensed media rights issue on MKO, very recently. If for some reason you didn't understand why - Vorpax won't be the last active example.
For what it's worth, with the rerelease of the films etc, it seems more likely that WB has reached a rights agreement with Kasanoff. Can only speculate how far that goes. There's still no demand or reason to appropriate those characters into the games - cost or no cost. Skulking around Shang Tsung was a good dynamic for the show, but there hasn't been a lot of room for it in the games. D'Vorah fulfils the late-in-the-series twist far better.
Fans will be fans, though. If you dig Vorpax, we recently added her original FoMA stock card to the user icon library (avatars). It was part of our Federation of Martial Arts archive. It's a mugshot, so it's completely safe for work. You may never recover from watching FoMA, though.

Conquest was especially popular in Australia I remember hearing, I enjoyed the show looking back it was pretty campy but at the time I thought it was great and I am still nostalgic for it.
First off I would like to say hye as it was a while since I was on this f2f orum it feels so damn good to be back here.
Well anyways, I been stopping here every now and then to see what mees has v ome about and everyones intake one the games so were ineresting but I gound myself saddened by the lack of imagination and the negativity that had come along on this forum sad.
But for those of you dissing Vorpax and MK: Conquest just watch the entire show it was great love the characters my favorite was Empress Kreeya and Kiri. To be honest some of them are more interesting than some of the actual game characters especially Kreeya. I think D'vorah was inspired by her race or just mau be from it who the heck knows. As a matter of fact Kreeya had influences in the game twice
1) Reptile's Armageddon. When Taven spoke of the mysterious woman brining Zattera to its former glory. Those were Kreeya's exact same words to Reptile
"Zatterra will return it its former glory" Empress Kreeya to Reptile. That story made the rest of the show and Kreeya was bad ass.
2) D' Vorah obviously "Bee Queen" I imagine she was born in a hive just like all Kreeyans and what not like a be but we all have to wait in see.
I do agree with you all that Vorpax should'nt be in this game it would be pointless. P.S. did you all know that in the Deadly Allliance krypt at coffin VP if you open it a voice would say Vorpax wins. This may have been an early thought
My advice to you new heads use your imagination

Several thoughts;
I loved Mortal Kombat Conquest. To this day it's likely my favorite incarnation of the Mortal Kombat universe and I still wish they'd make a game based on it.
Having said that, I don't think Vorpax would do the games any good. We already have plenty of mysterious hot, exotic women who represent some realm and are totally sneaky about it. The Tanyas, Jades, Mileenas and Li Meis of the business. No need for another such character.
Maybe characters like Jola, Master Cho or Omegis would have something to offer. Design wise, the guardians to Noob Saibot's prison were interesting.
As far as MKC influences in the games, I always thought it was quite the coincidence that MKC came up with the idea to have Shang Tsung and Quan Chi team up (in the episode titled Unholy Alliance) and then the next MK game was called Deadly Alliance... based on the team of Quan Chi and Shang Tsung.

And they kinda toyed with the Jola route in Kano's Armageddon plot. (Which could've been fun to follow through on). There really are a lot of little resonances, even if it's apples and oranges.

I enjoyed Conquest, but I'd prefer it just stay its own thing.
