In a weird interview on Variety, one of the few sources I consider valid since it's an industry trade paper (and since I have worked on Hollywood projects this was one often spoken about), Jeremy Slater says he wanted TWO SHOCKING DEATHS - Cole Young and Liu Kang. BUT, in the same hypocritical way many influencers / Youtubers opinions have been around this movie, Jeremy goes on to say he left Liu Kang's fate ambiguous and that it would be explored in MKIII.

.

I say to that, Why continue pissing off the fans? Why design this film around a third sequel and leave out valuable story arcs just to force us to watch potentially another installment? Have these idiots ever heard of the modern reboot to The Strangers? That was literally one big ass movie broken down into 3 sequels with the first 2 sequels neglecting to have a satisfying ending and telling fans more to come in the next chapter. NEWSFLASH: It didn't pan out very well. Ever heard of AVATAR 3? For the first time in almost 20 years here are discussions that Avatar may be dead in the water... or in the fire.

.

I have a Regal Unlimited subscription so I can watch many movies a month for only $23. I usually watch a minimum of 4 two or three days a month, so naturally I can't complain about being financially screwed since I choose to watch that many films a month. But I am complaining for the ones who aren't lucky to be self-employed and have to grind working for someone else and then have to go pay $20+ per movie during the weekend when they have time off work only to get royally screwed.
