I would assume they're going to reach out to WB about the book this week, and they said they work with WB frequently, so that's good. They seemed really pumped. Was a 30+ minute talk about this book.

The way we pitched it was having one page for the character/ bio/facts/etc and then another page or so would be how they've changed through the years.

We were looking at around 200 pages.

Should the cover be black with the MK Dragon logo in white with "Mortal Kombat" written at the top and "Encyclopedia" written at the bottom? That is how I envisage the cover from the start.

I personally believe it should be a black cover, with the dragon logo dead center. Maybe spattered in some blood, and a sub title below with something summarizing what the book is "The Lore behind the Gore" or "Two Decades of Kombat" or something.

Did some research on book covers and found out that minimalism is the best for covers since it is striking and instantly convays the tone and subject matter to the recipient. The font should be in the same as the MK font. No wacky fonts. A serious tone should be taken with font.

If you wouldn't mind doing some mock ups of covers, that'd be cool. The more we have to pitch to them the better!

Also, any mock ups of characters are great. Generally all the main characters will get two pages. Minor characters a single page unless they had story impact. We also want break-up pages that tell the story of the games as you go further into the book.

Characters who only appeared in one game (Trilogy, Armageddon notwithstanding) could get one page.

The X guys could get two.

Any unplayable but important characters gets half a page. Jerrod,.Argus,.Deliah, the Elder Gods, etc

Anybody else (deception and armageddon NPCs) get a 8th aof a page.

Don't know if you'll get this before, but remember to tell them that MK fans were very vocal in their desire for and were willing to pay for art books in deluxe and collector's editions of both MK 2011 and MKX. They are fans that buy.
