Yes there is. I actually liked it. Well, I know it sucked on the 3D fights (specially Scorpion VS Sub that fight was SHIT!!! It looked so fake) But I actually liked the video. I mean, it was 1995 back then, and that was just a little intro of 45-50 minutes of the Original Movie.

Cage would had looked cool like that in MKDefenders of the Realm.

I was so Insanely a fan of Mortal Kombat back when that animated movie came out, but I just remember how bad the cover alone looked and I never saw it. At least now I know it was the right decision.

Also, I remember from a Making of MK article I read that they actually used aspects of that animated movie in the live-action MK Movie. I forget what they did exactly, but apparently they used models and motions from it for the scene where Johnny Cage is fighting Goro and it is extremely zoomed out so they are really tiny on the screen.
Just a pointless piece of knowledge.

I actually liked it. Well, I liked the 3D part :P I personally liked that black Goro they had. He was cool, silly real Goro had to go kill him. The jealous bum. Well anyway, I just liked a bunch of the little stuff in it. It wasn't great, but it wasn't the worst disgrace of MK so I could stand it. I saw it when it first came out so those were great special effects back then :P

Also, I think that's where they had King Jerrod in there (Kitana's father). That was cool to see how he was portrayed.

I watched it a very long time ago, when it came out. I thought it was cool, but I was too unwise and childish back then, so I cant really say if it's good or not. I dont remember Cage fighting Goro in it. Infact, I'm pretty damn sure he didn't.

There is no main fight such as Sonya VS Kano or Cage VS Goro or Liu VS Tsung, its just like, letting U know what Mk is about, the only fight is beetween the nomads and the trio.

I actually like the way they foughted and moved, the blade sounds were very cool.

Lets see....Its like, an introduccion. Yes, thats it, the animated movie is only an introduccion of what the real movie is. They DONT show main fights such as Goro VS Cage or Liu VS Tsung.

it starts with the 3 main heroes of Mk (Sonya, Cage and Liu) on the boat getting to Tsungs island. Then, they meet and start talking, Cage starts making stupid jokes and Sonya throws him deadly glares at him. THEN, she demans to see the leader of the boat, she wants Kano (they never show Kano), Sub-Zero is guarding the door. Tsung comes out for just some seconds talling them that they were selected and blablabla, he leaves not telling Sonya were Kano is, she gets piss and tries to enter the door from wich Tsung came, but Sub dosent let her enter so she gets piss and they fight, out of nowhere, Scorpion comes and the 3 warrios kick both of the ninjas asses.

Then after the fight Rayden appears and talks to Tsung and them about Mk.

When they arrive at the island, THERE ARE NO FIGHTS, they just walk around with Rayden and he tells everything about Mk, Scorpion, Sub, Kung Lao, Tsung etc, showing sometimes 3D fights everytime he gets to a main subject.

While he tells them about Scorpion and Sub rivality, they show a 3D fight (the worst done, the ninjas look so badly done!). Also of Goro VS his brother Gorbak, of Tsung VS his old Master, and more, oh yeah, Kung Lao getting killed by Goro.

At the end, they are ambush by millions of Barakas and they fight in a very cool way defeating all. When they are about to be killed (Sonya, Cage and Liu) Rayden comes and yells with all his voice "SHANG TSUNG!!!!!!!" and the old warlock appears and he says stuff that they will die and blablabla and turns into a light of dragon and dissapears.

It ends there, BUT THEN, they show a Bio of all the characters wich is very cool. They talk about Liu and mention all, his bio, powers, fatalities, etc. same with Sonya, Rayden, Johnny, Goro, Scorpion and Sub-Zero.

So thats pretty much it. IMO it was a cool thing. I like it.
