the first Blade film. the little girl is watching the first MK movie at the scean where Reptiel is being 'created'. tho they edited the scean out in the vhs copy you can still distinctly hear the scean.

My Brother and Me... (That old show on Nickelodeon).. They're at the comic book store, and one of the kids is holding up a comic book. There is an ad on the back for Mortal Kombat 1.

I remember a line in a movie with jim carey, the cable guy. The are talking about "Playing Mortal Kombat with your friend from iran" or something like that :P

omg. we REALLY have too much time on our hands. MK1 made a brief appearance in Michael Moore's 'Bowling for Columbine' he talks about how Japan has as many violent video games as the US and shows a brief shot of Lui punching Kano (but his dumb fat ass didn't know that was an american game)

also in billy madison a boy say mk is the greatet game in the world. billy disagrees and says donkey knog is.

this doesn't count as an MK appearance, but what the hell:
I saw this anime movie about this chick that could manipulate paper into weapons and other things (it seemed to kick more ass when I was high). she hung out with this army dude that looked EXACTLY like Stryker, only wearing army camo instead of blue

There was a very shortly lived martial arts show on the WB called Black Sash in early 2003, and in the first episode two of the students in the kwoon started really going at it and the teacher said something like, "Guys, break it up, this isn't Mortal Kombat."

And I remember seeing some movie on HBO one night, but I can't seem to remember what it was. But I seen some kid playing MK4 and he was using Jax.

I'm pretty sure I've spotted more than that, but that's all I can recall at the moment.

Oh yeah, I remember a few more I seen on MTV... This was back when MKII was in the arcade, and one of the VJ's, who's name I can't remember at the moment, was telling the guy he was interviewing how much he loved Mortal Kombat, and he asked him who his favorate guy was. The guy said Liu Kang! Yeah! Actually, I seen the host ask that question to another person as well and that guy said Mileena and Jax I think. I also seen the guy playing Shaq in MKII on one occasion. He obviously loved MK. lol Man, I can't remember his name though.

There was also another show on MTV, and my memory sucks because I can't remember the name of that show either, but this kid was playing Jackie Chan in MK3, and Jackie Chan was using Liu Kang! But I think Jackie lost, and then he got up and started to throw some play punches at the kid. lol
