I know maybe I will get flamed til then end of time over this but i have to say it.

There will never be a 3rd mortal kombat movie.

Its time for everyone here on this board to more on with our lives and understand that its never going to happen.

I know some will say i cant prove this but really do i have to?
Havent they already done that with no reports, nothing ever is offical.Even with shin website its nothing offical.I am not calling him a liar just saying its not offical with what he has on his site.Again what i say isnt offical but just want everyone to understand that its not going to happen.

I mean dont you think the actors have moved on with their own lives.Seriously they could probably care less about if there will ever be another mk movie.I know we all wish there was one,but just cause its on mortalkombat.com doesnt mean anything anymore.

I gota say this to.If there had been a mk3 movie. It doesnt or wouldnt have to have been rated R.We all loved the first movie and that was pg-13.

So lets move on with our lives and just hope mk works out with the video games and dvds and whatnot.

With the sales of the recent MK games (and with Shaolin Monks coming out Sept 20th) it will show some studio that MK isn't dead. But I do understand what you're saying. Last we heard anything on MK3 the movie was that Chris Casamassa stated that filming was to start in May/June and well....It's August.
At least not soon. I dont think you can really say that their will be no MK3 movie ever when the entire MK franchise is still making millions, the first film still holds its own, fans want another MK film (God answer my prayers) and the MK universe is still a potential mass money making medium.

So no matter what happens im pretty sure that their will be an MK3, just not for anytime soon which sucks ass.sad

It's already been said, tons of times. You don't ''have to say it''.

I don't think there's going to be one anytime soon. I'm not going to be eager for this movie until I hear something official *I was eager for this movie when I first heard this movie was coming out; a billion years later, I got over it*...

I have to say the starter or this thread is right. I used to think an MK3 movie was a possibility but now; it has been way too long since MKA came out and bombed. Truth is there won't an MK3 movie anytime soon b/c the cast of both films are getting too old and they've likely lost interest by now.

You all must understand that if there was gonna be another Mortal Kombat movie in the near future, it wouldn't be a sequel or a remake. It would be a whole new universe/version of it's own that wouldn't have anything to do the MK movies or TV show from the 90's. Since we're in a new decade and new millenium, I think it's time to move on and start from scratch with all MK media related things. Just look at the recomendation I came up with in the other thread I started about this.

...Threshold Entertainment, which is planning to film "Mortal Kombat III"

Just to refresh my memory. Just how long have they been planning to make MKIII again? Huh? Huh? [/skepticism]

wink

Yeah Threshold has been saying something little about a third MK movie since MKA came out. What their saying in this report is really just another peice of speculation coming from them right now.

IGN Filmforce is not a source to trust I'm afraid. They say things that end up not happening now and then. So I wouldn't get my hopes up about this article being true.

I think that, as discussed in the Batman thread, if there is another movie, it will start over. The First MK movie was scarecely passable, and MKA was absolutely terrible. They should probably start over with a more blanced series of movies, that stay truer to the game.

Whatever. Lets just hope a few more months, when someone will ''have to say it'' again, because it's just such a huge burden that these important people have to carry.
