Just watching Lord of the Rings, I almost cry, when I think about the failure that was MK: Anihialation. That movie almost ruined Mortal Kombat, "to the point of no return." Mortal Kombat has ((or had) such a deep, and well-balanced storyline, that it, if put in the right producers' hands, could very well, become a masterpiece. I sort of have mixed feelings about a third MK film. I am very exited that they are giving MK another chance, but at the same time, I am worried, and concerned as to how they will dig MK out of the the huge hole that MK:A left in the storyline. I know that it will be exstreamly difficult to do.

I just hope that they take this movie into careful consideration, before producing another "let down" like MK:A.

curses you for saying "before producing another "let down" like MK:A.". You sound like it was guaranteed the movie would suck.

there are other movies to stomp MK to ground. SW, etc. A good story like that of MK, can be made into a good movie in good hands. And if anything, LOTR gives inspiration, improving what MK can achive. It can make MK only seem a bit worse, if to compare to that, but it can not make it any worse.

i fully understand your regrets about the new movie. as to myself i think they should act as if there were no mka. they would have to go through so much trouble getting out of the hole. i gotta admit the second movie COMPLETELY ruind the mk movie scene because the story line sucked so bad.

And, if you've ever watch the behind the scenes, making of LOTR, you can see that it does'nt have to be a Big Budget film, to be "BIG." I have to admit that I was kinda' shocked, when I watched that extra footage. It was really impressing, and amazing as to how much hand-work they did, themselves. They are very comendable producers. But, that's really all it takes is a GOOD producer, determination, and a love for what you are doing. And, my personal motto is, "It's not good, until you become obsessed with it."

They should have had an mk fan direct the movie. Look at what it did for LotR's

that also depends on the fan, his skill, his fan-ness... lots of MK fans 1) would make it Scorpion and Sub-Zero fighting 2 hours in row, 2) wouldn't have a clue how to direct.

Indeed. They should get an MK fan that has had some schooling in the cinema and such.
