As we anticipate the release of the new film I wanted to share an article celebrating the old film. It has 5 or so publicity photos from the first film that were released before that film was back in 1995. To note, you will see Paul Anderson sitting in Goro's throne. In the fight scene with the Outworld warriors, you will notice the fallen warrior on the mat. In that same scene you can see the side of the backdrop of the cave showing through. In the fight shot with Liu Kang, notice you will see a truck in the back. In the fight with Kano/Sonya, there appears to be some kind of makeshift structure where craft could have been. Anyway enjoy this article and the throwback to the photos and remember even then their pre-release material wasn't perfect (like 2021's trailer and Kano's eye):
