For the record, Rain was NOT in the 2018 script leak but was in the 2016 script. I am not sure why Todd is choosing to address past characters, especially from a script that still had several writers before Greg became the sole credited writer in 2018 draft.

The big issue with the Rain fight is that is happens immediately after another fight and messes up the pacing of the story. It just feels tacked on and in no way serves a purpose. I was very happy the fight was taken out, even though the concept of the fight was interesting and different.

@Tetra_Vega Yes! They were definitely pulling an Annihilation in the 2016 version.
