There were many rumors that Trish Stratus was to play Sonya Blade at one time, yet she later turned the role down. From what I hear, and from what I understand, and it looks like this too, they are trying to get everyone from MK1 back to do this third film. Another rumor I've heard is that it may be a sequel to the first movie due to the recasting of everyone from the first movie. Right now, rumor has it they are recasting Jax, Shao Kahn, and Jade. This is just a rumor though, but the fact that they are trying to get back the original cast is not. They are also attempting to cast a younger Shang Tsung too.

lord of the rings actors did a crap job of it half hte people you think can act good where fighting most of the movie why do you think the only real actors in the movie played gandalf and Strider because they had to do something more than count how many orciah they killed dont give me wrong i loved reis jr in Sliders but he is still just a B Movie Actor and sam wise needs to keep making his rudy films and eligah wood well he is like a 30 year old child no future after lotr

There are so many great woman outthere to play the Sonya role. I only hope they choose her well, she is important for the movie, I hope they choose well.

Trish has the most obvious fake breasts I've seen. I don't think it would look good in the movie, since Sonya never got breast implants in the games.

Sandra Hess. I know I used to say Bridgette but I watched MKA (for luaghs) lastnight and she did a really great job. if there had been a script for her to actually work with then she would have many more fans. Besides, gotta love the mud fight with Mileena.
