It does about 3 months I predicted this same one in a Hispanic forum called "Inmortal Fusion" (unfortunately, he was hackeado and nothing could be recovered), although went more by my liking to wrestling that so that knew of something certain, although my prediction was so that is a very handsome blonde, and one of its characteristic movements is same that Sonya made to Kano in the first film to demolish it and to break the neck it, and same one that used against Mileena in the MKA.

Remember that Rey-phillip Santos had been cast as Kenshi, and Marla Welsh as a female fighter, but they were removed from the list...It might be another unconfirmed rumour..

The Internet Movie Database is NOT a reliable source for movies that are in production nor is it a reliable source for movies that aren't very popular. It's all fan-submitted information that frequently needs to be checked up on. It's really not somewhere people should go for information on a third Mortal Kombat movie.

We're probably not going to post this as news... As others have said:

  • IMDB is not a reliable source of information
  • Most places reporting this are wrestling-oritented sites, not gaming or movie sites which would be more trustworthy sources of information
  • Lastly, any reports indicating Trish Status playing Sonya in MK3 refer to the movie as "MK: Domination". As almost everyone knows by now, Project Domination was independent fan-made MK film that was cancelled, and Ain't It Cool News/IMDB confused this with the official MK3 movie title.

Yes, I suppose that in good part you are right, although I whenever I have watched information in that Web, have found it correct... good, if within months she confirms herself that Trish Stratus will do of Sonya Blade, you remember that the news gave in exclusive right... and if in the end she is not she, because as minimum already I have felt a little like a God between my companions smile smile smile
If man looking Trish is gonna play Sonya, there is absolutely NO hope for this film at all.

IF the world flipped upside down and this Trish Stratus thing was true, I wouldn't complain. I love Bridgette Wilson, but Trish is so pretty I'd have no complaints

It's true that imdb is a source that excepts whatever fans submit to them. That's why so far I don't believe anything they have put up about MK3. Chances are this Trish Stratus might be removed from the cast list since it ain't official news.

Perhaps interpreting it was better Bridgette than Sandra, but fighting it was better Sandra Hess, and to my I liked more Sandra than Bridgette... If in the end who it interprets to Sonya Blade is Bridgette, contentment, if Sandra does, also, if enchanted Trish does, and if another actress does, while she knows to fight and to act I will be happy smile

But i agree with everyone, until we hear it from a more credible source, dont believe anything
I went to her official site, and I found nothing on MK3. This sounds like even more bullshit from IMDB... Just when you thought they wouldn't stop.
