I believe this has been discussed in excess before, but meh.

The popular theory is that it will either be a complete rehash of MK3/UMK3, and will ignore it's Annihilation's pitiful existance as a movie.....or that it will be related to the storyline of DA. The storyline for MK2 was kinda meshed with MK1 in the first movie, so I don't know if they would revisit it.

To be honest, as long as they do the games justice and don't blunder with the script and effects like they did in MK:A....I won't care what storyline they go with, as long as it's done right.

I hope they redo the UMK3 stroy a bit,because if they do the MK:DA storyline,they would have to bring back Shang Tsung somehow,and not for nothing but i think that would be a little lame.

If Quan-Chi is in it,have him be the enemy in this one,and ONLY him.Whatever happens,you know that there will definitely be a 4th movie sometime.

I hope MK2, and Shao Kahn pops out of the temple to invite them to the new tournament. He and Shang could have planned it out previously, that, should he fail in the 10th tournament, to invite the champions to a new tournament, where the will face certain death at the hands of Shao Kahn himself! AHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
