Nobody knows. It's been said that it will be a Sub-Zero movie, it's been said that it will take place after the first movie, so as to replace MKA. But really, nobody knows anything.

My money is on a MK Mythologies:Sub-Zero type movie. Bcuz i also heard that Quan Chi was also gonna be in the film and this storyline seems the most likely. But nobody can say anything for sure as of yet. This is just my opinion.
