I wanna see Liu's flying kick and Kung Lao's whirlwind kicks!!! I have gone 2 movies without it and its driving me KWAZZZY!!!!

I don't want to see anything that is to much like the game. I can just imagine a good fight with those pink rings messing up the whole thing....And Jonny cages green ball?! no! that is not fit for the movie. along with anything else with little explaination from the game (except for liu kang's fire ball and raiden's electricity and maybe quan chi's skulls.

I would really like to see some weapons coriographed into the fights.

It's a movie. Just because it's fantasy, doesn't mean they can just do anything they want like in the games. The only reason they have the projectiles in the games is because of gameplay. You dont see Alice in the Resident Evil movie heal herself with just herbs, do you? Movies are suppose to be as realistic as possible, and regular humans dont shoot pink rings out of their fists.

It'd be weird if Cage actually did throw fire out of his hand. But Sonya could shoot her blast out of some latest government technology or something.

Iceball: took a while to form to be more realistic- looked cool and had sort of an explaination

Spear: Looked good and had some alterations

Fireball: vary brief but It was there

Electricity: He was a thunder god! that explains it!

anything is possable. they just have to set it up right. Sub's ice powers and scorp's fire can be belivable because they explaned the background a little bit.
but then again... if they have Rayden using a tazer to zap people that would be funny.

That's another thing. Why make these movies PG-13? There's never any blood and certain special moves and fatalities can't be shown. Zentile is right...it has to seem real to be a movie...although they didn't have to "explain" Johnny Cage's patented Shadow Kick. BTW, Liu Kang did the flying kick on Kahn at the end of the movie.

And uh, I dont think Liu did his flying kick on Kahn at the end of MKA. He did, however, do the bycicle kick on Reptile in MK.
I dont mind physical special moves(shadow kick, flying kick, leg grab, etc) but projectiles is too irrealistic.

I agree about him not using the flying kick. Trust me, I've seen Journey Begins, and I can identify a flying kick out of games and into other media. Sonya did it when the fought S and S on the boat, and most of the dialogue Shang Tsung and Rayden did in their conversations was awfully familiar from the movie.

Well I'm not saying that they should make it R rated just for the hell of it. I just think it's better if they don't purposely try to avoid it. If there is a part that needs blood-ADD IT! and whoever has parents that won't let them watch a rated R movie but will let them play a game that is probably twice as bloody....Than this means they are some RETARDED parents! and if someone has retarded parents...they can easily fool them by saying "mom! - dad! I'm going to the church dance!" and go see MK3 with their friends by sneaking in. I rest my case.

However, my mom,dad,uncle, and cousin all like Mortal Kombat, so if its rated R I can still see it. I'm talking about my peers with nutty parents who won't let them see it if its R.

Because, most ppl who play MK are aged between 10 and 16. They would want to c the movie.
Besides, suppose some guy who doesn't know what MK is, but likes the title of the third movie, decides to go see it for the hell of it, but he cant, cuz he's too young. What I mean is, ALOT less people would c the movie if it were R rated. Even besides young MK Fans.

Okay, Okay, I'f it's that important that I see why they should keep it PG13. But they should pull a Spawn on us and release 2 different videos: the PG13 wussie one and The rated R one...just so we can all take our pick.

I actually think that projectly moves are a great idea, and would be awsome...ONLY if they are done correctly. I mean, in Mk, we have man stealing souls, a god of electricity, a skull headed dude, an Icy mad man, a giant lizard who turns into a man, a robot who cabn turn into somke, a half horse half man guy, a dragon, a hydra, and etc. So, whats the BIG THING on showing a guy (Cage) throw a green fire ball a like Liu kang in MK1??? NOTHING, why? Its Mk! And people wont go "How can he do that!?" cause if they see that a man steals soul, a fire ball wont be that hard to believe.

So here is my list:

Scorpion- His spear and fire breath.

Sub-Zero- His Ice ball and the Ice move from MKDA where he steps on U, and drives on U like if U were some (that word....) car or thing with wheels.

Sonya- Her Leg grab HAS to come back. Vertical Bicycle kick AND her kiss would be exelent! I can see her right know doing it to Kano. It would be cool. And her weird Kenpo kicks are awsome.

Kitana- Her metal-fan moves!!!!

Cage- Shadow kick, shadow punch, and of course, his nut-punch.

Kung Lao- Hat throw and all those kicks some guy was talking about.
