Dude, the first one, of course. Why? Because MKA really sucked and it was cheap and messed up. MKC was good as well, but it wasn't a movie, but a TV series.

The first MK. Dont get me wrong MKA was good in all but it sucked way worse than the first MK.

IT put me to sleep 2 times watching MKA it took me 3 times of watching it to see the whole movie.

The first movie was probably better because it was longer and more in depth. The second one seemed to not take itself as seriously but it had nice colors, resembled the video game more, and I think is more fun to watch.

^^Suggestion...rent the first one. If you have only seen the 2nd you will be surpised at how much better it is than MK:A.

1. Mortal Kombat the Movie

I know there is another cartoon/movie but I've never seen it and can't find it anywhere to rent.

Watching a video game movie with the ultimate cast and plenty of fights and a respect for the source material can't get better than the first MK.

Is it the best martial arts flick?Of course not.Is it a fun film on its own terms? Heck yeah.

Mortal Kombat.....I watched it today. Sure its not the best movie...but it was a well adaptation from the games. If Mortal Kombat was real...I think it would be like it was in the first movie.

I liked the first movie. It won't go down as oneof the great movies of all time, but at least is had more depth to it than the the second movie. While the first one didn't have all the fights I would have liked to see, I did like most of them. The second movie just felt cheap. Yeah it had Scorpion vs. Sub-zero, but that fight was boring to me. The first movie focused on the events of the first game. The second film tried cramming MK 2, MK 3 and UMK 3 in a film shorter than the original. The charaters in the first movie had a story to them, a few other like Sub-Zero, and Scorpion didn't have a story at all. In the second film Charaters were just placed there as filler and killed off like cows at a slaughterhouse, without really ever being explained as to why these characters are there and why are they on the side they're on. In all the first movie wasn't great, but it worked out to be OK. The second film was a horrible movie And I can't beleive that it still get shown one STARZ, and the orignal film almost never get shown on T.V. at all. So yeah I like the first movie.

the 2nd one for a few reasons, first off the fight scenes were a shiiiiiiiiiiitload more kick ass then the first movies, #2 because everyone looked so much better in that one, making the fight scenes that much more awesome to watch, #3 because of the fuking awesome scene with cyrax, #4 because of the last fight scene, especially when jax beat the holy shit out of motaro, and lastly seeing kang finished shao khan and shutting him the fuk up!!! because shao khan, you died that time you son of a bitch!!!!!!!! FATALITY!!!!!!!!!!!

I liked them both. Aswell as defenders of the realm.
