From what ive heard, the filming will begin this year and it will be released in 2005.

In other words, if the new mk game is a hit that will increase the chances of MK3 to be filmed.

Chris Casamassa said that filming will begin around late 2004 and it will be released around 2005. Woohoo, Star Wars: Episode III and now MK3! This should be a nice movie year.
