Since Wilson won't probably return (although I'm hoping), and Sandra's 'performance' was horribly received, who should play Sonya?
I hope either Trish Stratus (if she can act), Hudson Leick (of Callisto fame), or that girl from Resident Evil (forgot her name). What do you think?

NO WAY!!! I say it's either Bridgette Wilson OR Nobody! No way I'm gonna see Sonya played by three different actresses. That just won't look right.

You gotta keep in mind that Wilson probably won't return (she's married and supposedly quit acting), and most fans weren't happy with Hess...

You liked her performance? It was decent, but she definately was NOT Sonya... She didn't have the attitude Bridgette had; She's supposed to be in the military, all she did was wine about Cage's death... It was way too different from Wilson's performance, which is agreed to be much better by many MK fans.
Personally I'd like to see another actress if Bridgette won't return. So what if they change Hess? If Hess pulled off the role good, sure I'd want her to return. Sadly, that wasn't the case.

It is possible that Brigette Wilson will no treturn for the second movie, however, if it's not Wilson playing Sonya then it must be Sandra Hess. It just wouldn't sit well with me that three different actresses played Sonya.
As for Hudson Lieck, if she were in the third MK film, I would want her to be a new character (someone from MK4 possibly or MK:DA). Milla Jovavich from Resident Evil is not who I would choose to be Sonya. Sure she's badass but she just ISN'T Sonya.
Now if, and only IF, Sonya were to be played by a thrid actress, it would have to be Kristanna Loken who played the terminatrix in Terminator 3.

Cristina Applegate the chick from Married with Children

I never thought of her before. She would make a good Sonya. But still, three different Sonyas? I didn't really mind Sandra Hess, I feel her part was badly written, but I still think she did well.
Yeah, I felt like most of Hess' 'bad performance' was actually the production's fault. I mean, we all know how the dialogue completely sucked for everyone. And Hess didn't exactly recieve beauty treatment like Wilson. Wilson always had lipstick on, and make up to make her look prettier. Hess was thrown at mud.

I don't know why you guys are saying Wilson may not return just b/c she's married and has a son. Don't you guys know why Wilson did NOT quit acting? She's currently filming a movie called Shopgirl (with Steve Martin).
If they went back to Wilson and not Hess, that would not necessarily be recasting actors, that would be reversing the cast.

I herd Trish Stratis wuz playin Soneya11!!1
Seriously, Bridgette was the hottest Sonya, so I wish she'd come back. Also, I really liked her role in the first film, but if she isn't coming back..hmmm the T3 babe is pretty damn hot, but I haven't heard her speak enough to even know how she sounds.
If only Sonya looked a lil more like Jessica Alba

Bridgette Wilson:
She played an outstanding Sonya. She had the extremely sexy look, she was very tough, and the sarcasm was just excellent.
BUT, the only thing Bridgette missed as Sonya was to be more flexible, I mean, a better fighter. I will like her to return but she MUST do an excellent job at the fight scenes just like Sandra Hess did or even better.
Sandra Hess:
She is just as sexy as Wilson, but the best thing about Hess was her fighting scenes. I was very pleased to see her fight; she did an excellent job in that aspect.
Now, Sandra Hess IS a very GOOD actress, but the reason many didnt like her as Sonya was the fact (AND I HAVE TO AGREE) that she didnt have Wilsons tough and sarcastic attitude in the movie.
That is a trademark for Sonya, and seeing how she didnt use the sarcasm and attitude in the whole movie like Wilson, made me miss the Sonya we know.
If Sandra is to come back as Sonya (which I hope), she MUST act tough and rough, with sarcasm please.
And if Bridgette Wilson is to come back as Sonya (wich I hope), she MUST work on her fighting talents.
I wouldnt mind another actress, but I would like either of this 2 to return. And if a New Sonya is to come, she must have all the qualities needed to play The Best Sonya Blade.

I say Wilson, but if she's not going to return like everyone keeps saying, then yeah, go with Trish Stratus or Callisto from Xena.

But Hess was still hot no matter what.
But I say Sonya should be Hess again. I don't like Wilson. Not saying Wilson did a bad job at being Sonya, but I just don't like her in general. And her fighting sucked.

Hmmm well I just hope that Hess does not get the job. Please, all of her fans don't get offended, but she destroyed the movie for me. I'm a huge Sonya fan and she did a terrible job of playing her. As for Wilson, I wish she could but if she can't I hope they find somebody else.

Hess sucks. How bout they get someone who can act? Either get back Bridgette, or cast someone talented - Hudson Leick anyone?

Sandra Hess can't act. She looks nothing like Wilson and she failed to bring out the protrayal Wilson brought into Sonya in MK1. That's why watching her do it in MKA was like watching a different character with the same freakin' name.
I know someone who should've replaced Wilson. Her name is Cassidy Rae. She's an unknown actress who looks exactly like Wilson. If they had used her in MKA maybe it would'nt have been like watching a different character.
Wilson can easily get into MK3. All she needs is training before filming/shooting starts. Same goes for other cast members that don't have martial arts backgrounds.

Wilson doesn't really know how to fight very well and that is why they probably didn't get her in MKA but still, i guess, she would have been better than the one in the second movie...
