Mortal Kombat (game) became infamous because of it's gore back in those days. I expected to have a little homage in the first movie fot that. But it wasn't to be.

I really hope that if that third movie ever comes out it will be full of blood and gore. But I really think it will be soft again because R rated movies makes less money because not everyone is allowed to view it

I would like two thigns done actually.

1. Yes, obviously, gore, it's what people have wanted in a MK Movie for an eternity, Add a few Fatalities, Harsh amounts of Blood spilled & throw in a few Death Traps in the Movie & the MK Movies are on to a winner.

2. Make the Movies longer to tell more of tehs tories, you know, like Lord of teh Rings style long, 3 hours & stuff ya know, you could tell so much in that time & fill the rerst with Major Fight scenes & yes, GORE! But still have great stories told that not just make MK Fans want to see more, but other movie goers too.

For instance, had the first 2 MK Movies been the 2 - 3 hour marks like the Lord of teh Rings trilogy, imagine how far the story of MK could ahve gone, I mean there is 5 games in the MK World that need to be spun off in Movies with the 6th on the way, plus your Special Forces game & Sub Zero Mythologies that is a hell of a lot of movies that can be made & with lots of time can give lots of good backgrounds, depth & insight into the MK Universe. :)

That's the same reason the game became infamous is because of its blood and gore, and because of that parents of kids didn't want them playing the games much less seeing the movies(even tho they were less gory). The Matrix was a bit gory, but its not remembered for the goriness. The Matrix was remembered for its storyline depth, great acting, and the most awesome fight sequences to ever be seen with human eyes for crying out loud. My question is...IF THE MATRIX COULD HAVE ALL THIS GREAT STUFF...WHY CAN'T MK3?!?!? So if you want a great movie with blood and guts, which would probably go straight to DVD/VHS because producers know it wouldn't fair well in the box office since most kids and teens couldn't see it...then you'd push for a rated R movie. If you want a great movie, with not much blood and gory effects, but still would get lots of theater playtime and probably get high praise and good revenue because of all the people who would get to see it...then you'd push for the PG-13 rating.
