If you had to pick who would you pick.

For me it would be Quentin Tarantino all the way because just look at Kill Bill that was the best action movie I ever saw and he would do something people never expect. While John Woo would do something like this dove fight action scene.

So? did Leonatti care about the story or caracters..??No he didn't and the movie sucked.

Brian Singer would be my choice, he is a young, fresh director who has expirience in movies based on comicbooks and that sort of thing.

With the atmost respect, I think John Woo or Quentin Tarantino would be unfit for that type of film.

I think Stephen Norrington (Blade, LXG) would be a good director....or Paul Anderson or David Goyer (writer for the Blade series and Director of Blade 3 and aslo he's the writer for the new Batman movie)

Quinton Tarintino may be the most briliant director of our time, however all his films are hevely influanced by pop culture, giving us a sort of ultra campy that makes his movies so incredebly great to watch. However, having said this I do not beleave that Quinton is right for the job. MK just dose not fit into that type of film.

John Woo on the other hand is one of the most celebrated yet horible directors of our time. He may be a great coriographer, but he can't direct actors for shit. The only decent movie he made was crouching tiger, and the only reson for that is because you couldn't hear what the actors are saying.

So we would probubly have to nab someone else like Sam Remi (director of Evil Dead sires, Dark-Man and Spiderman) His creave genius and ability for directing bot people, great action sceans, and his love for blood. He I think would be the perfect choice.

I didn't think about Bryan Singer until you mentioned him and I agree with you. He has made 2 great movies(X-Men and X2) and in the MK:The Movie Behind the Scenes book, Larry Kasanoff said they were looking for a director who's "young, hip, and full of kinetic energy", and I think Bryan Singer fits those categories.

Spealburge would never touch this project so I hope your joking, and about singer, sure he would make a good movie, but personaly i don't think he has the balls to do a good gory film, wich is (if i'm not misstaken) what we all want.

Have you seen any of his non-American stuff? The films he made in Hong Kong are the reason he's so highly acclaimed. I agree that most of his Hollywood efforts have been sub-par (though I loved Face/Off).

I think Tarantino could do a good job of this. He certainly wouldn't be shy about loading it up with gore, but there's a risk he'd make it too campy. The finished product would probably be a love it or hate it deal. At the very least it'd be interesting to watch.

Other directors who might do MK well: Sam Raimi, Peter Jackson, Martin Campbell, James Cameron, Bryan Singer, Stephen Sommers, David Fincher, Robert Rodriguez, Ang Lee, Guillermo Del Toro, Stephen Norrington, and I could name more but I'm sure I've given the studio execs enough ideas for now.

Paul Anderson and Brian Singer I think would make a great team to handle it. Anderson has already done an excellent job with MK 1, but I think needs a stronger story driving from a younger director, Singer, who did well both with X-men (except for storm) and X-2.

Tarantino is the most over rated crap i`ve ever wated my time on ...and money for that matter. His movies are time filler full of craptastic boringness that tell shallow uninteresting stories....just in an "artsy" way which I think deters from actualy entertainment value. If he directed the movie I`d want to fatality him.

Sam Remi I think would be better than Singer because X-Men was great, no question, however is you have everwatched the Evil-Dead or Dark-Man movies you will see how perfect he is.

what about the guy who made the first resident evil movie or who directed alien vs predator movie.hmm i cant remember who that was,was it the same person who directed event horizon?damn i cant remember.

Oh ok and john woo is just so different ,same with qt.Dont get me wrong that are good directors sure, but i dont think mortal kombat would come out the way its supposed to with them. Were tring to make it better then mka remember?I dont want to watch mortal power rangers kombat again.

And personaly i didnt like spider man that much(the movie not spider man in general)There are things in that movie and from what i have seen in the second one that they could have done better.I just think the villians so far looked and look boring to me,I think i speak for some spider man fans on here when i say i wish they would have had vanom or carnage by now.

but back to directors,i want umm.....ahh i cant really think or anyone but it PA doesnt do it then yeah go with the guy that directed xmen then. But if it is the same guy who directed mka then i wont even see it then even if it looks great cause then that means he knows he could have done better with mka and that would show me that he didnt care about that fans(your guys and I)back then.

I would like to see MK3 the movie be directed by Larry and Andy Wachowski. the directors of the Matrix. I really would like to see the fighting scenes similar to the matrix with the exception of everything that you know is not real. But the fighting- that includes the fast pace and different fighting styles would be great to see in the next Mortal Kombat movie.
