These are just a few actors/actresses I would like to have portray the listed characters in the next movie....
Liu Kang: Robin Shou
Imagine having an MK movie without Robin Shou!! He is a great actor who can pull off the most impossible stunts. Shou would just have to be in the next film.... there's no two ways about it!
Kitana: Talisa Soto
I believe that Soto will reprise her role in the next film, besides, I think we as fans have grown on to her even if there were some who disliked the casting choice. (Besides, she's f*****g hot!)
Kung Lao: Donnie Yen
I know he doesn't speak very much english, but his talent in martial arts in unmatched by most, not to mention his surprising resmblance to MK:DA's Kung Lao. FOr those of you who don;t know him, he played a Vampire named Snowman in Blade 2.
Mileena: Kelly Hu
Kelly hu played Lady Deathstrike in X2. I'm more than confident that Hu could pull off the role of Mileena. Yes, Dana Hee was excellent but I think Kelly Hu just has the look, IMO.
Tanya: Stacey Dash
When you see a photo of Dash, you will probably be as amazed as I was. SHE LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THE CHARACTER RENDER from MK4. I'm not familiar with her filmography, however, posted on dozens of websites (not including imdb.com!) she can pull off a strong performance.
Blind Kenshi: Rick Yune
Yune played a supporting antagonistic role in the fast and the Furious (the asian dude on the speed bike). Kenshi would most definately have to be played by Yune.
Sindel: Musetta Vander
Vander played Sindel in MK Annhilation. I hate watching sequels with different actors playing key characters so I would be satisfied if Vander reprised her role as Sindel.
Raiden: Christopher Lambert
I'm sorry, but this guy is 100% badass! The one thing I liked about him the most in the first film was his voice. SO pwerful and commanding. He would be my choice for the perfect Raiden!
Fujin: James Remar
Remar played Raiden in MK Annhilation but he did not fit the role, however, he has a striking resemblence to Fujin. If Fujin was in some way incorperated into the storyline, Remer would fit the bill.
Shinnok: Raynor Shone
Shone was one of the few things I liked about Annihilation. He was the only character I enjoyed watching, aside from Liu Kang and Kitana. Again, I believe that actors should reprise their roles.
Quan Chi: Adoni Maropis
Many fans agree that Maropis personified the evil sorcerer Quan Chi. I agree. He portrayed Quan Chi in MK Conquest and he gave an amazing performance.
Shang Tsung: Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa
There is debate on who should carry the role of Shang Tsung. Bruce Locke, who played Tsung on MK Conquest, was great but, in all honesty, Tagawa played Stung perfectly in the first MK film.
Nitara: Hudson Lieck
Lieck is one of my favorites. She played the role of Calisto in Xena. Now, my first choice for Nitara was Angelina Jolie (because of the photo shoot she did for rollingstone magazine) but she is considered an A-class actress and I doubt she would consider a supporting role. Hudson Lieck, however, would do just fine!
Li Mei: Zhang Ziyi
Ziyi played such roles as the evil Asian girl in Rush Hour two, and the chief protagonist in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. She does not speak very much english but her fighting skill is astounding. Put a couple of sais in her hands, press record, then run like hell.
Sonya Blade: Bridgette Wilson
Wilson played a great Sonya in the first film. Sandra Hess maybe the better looking of the two, but thats no reason for Hess to get the part. Wilson brought Sonya to the screen and I think it should stay that way....
Frost: Sienna Guillory
Guillory will portray the role of Jill Valentine in Resident Evil: Apocalypse. I was unsure of which actress could play frost. Honestly though, people who would act in a movie like Mortal Komabt would be those without much experience or a B-class actor. Guillory could do just fine.
Jax: Lynn 'Red' Williams
I really disliked the casting choice of Jax in Annhilation. The actor who played Jax in the first film was more of a layed back type guy who I believed Jax was. Leave the comic relief to Jonny Cage. Since Williams has the fighting ability though, he gets the role.
Scorpion: Chris Casamassa (Voice: Ed Boon)
One word.... AWESOME! Casamassa was great in both films as well as Conquest. No one could ever live up to the performace made by Casamassa!
Shao Kahn: Jeff Meek
Now here is the only place where I will go against my word of saying actors should reprise their roles. The guy (whatever his name was) who played Kahn in Annhilation was such a disappointment. Don't get me wrong, he is a good actor, but he just does not come close to Kahn at all. A guy Like Jeff Meek, who played both Raiden and Shao Kahn in MK Conquest would be great! He was the Shao Kahn I wished was in the movie.
