Why no Mortal Kombat comic?

I have to say I am kinda shocked that here isnt a mortal Kombat comic book out,

street fighter has a book out and its great and its about time Mortal Kombat had a GOOD comic book

wam entertainment had it about 2 years ago but nothing came about and the licensed has lasped

would anyone here be interested in a mortal kombat comic book?

actually it was a different company. the company that does the great street fighter book is called udon

the company that had the rights and lost the rights was WAM, and they were suppose to come out over 2 years ago , it was to be a MK deception ongoing series

sadly nothing new and I am quite suprised at this
