Mercy is back, but I don't think Animality's will ever be back, because they didn't really worked for a majority of the characters. Although I liked Animalities in its concept, the execution and selection were done very poorly in (U)MK3.

Hm... what is your benefit to perform a mercy in MK11? In MK3 the opponent get a little amount of health back and if you defeat him you can perform an animality. So.... why should you perform a mercy in MK11? I don't know if you can do an animality then but I am sure there has to be something you can do. It just wouldn't make sense to implement mercy just to troll us :D

This could be a new concept of mercy. It could simply mean not performing a fatality on a victim or something.
I'm pretty sure animalities are not in the game. There's no secrets, everything has been leaked. This is it.

Unless you are a god or Ed Boon, you can't possibly know that.

My guess is that they're gonna show it in the next stream right before the game launches, it could be something special but we'll find out soon.

Every game we're hoping for secrets. But all the secrets ALWAYS get leaked before release.

I really hope to never see an animality ever again. They were so danm silly! As for us knowing all the secrets like MKX? Guess everyone may be forgetting they patched in new Brutalities and little secrets here and there like stage fatalities! I think giving Mercy would just be a callback to the good old days and u as a player taking a risk. Because there was nothing worse than giving mercy and getting your ass beat LoL

Well, I'm pretty sure it was already said by the developers that Mercy is back, but not Animilaty's. I don't remember when it was said and where, but I'm pretty sure it was said.
How they are going to use Mercy is still a riddle.

Agree. People still hope for secrets and super unlockables but that's something left in the 90's to be honest.

Well, we could get at least one "Animality" in all but name with Kotal Kahn's jaguar transformation if there's a Brutality with that.

Animalities has always been hard to make work well for every character. Friendships would be perfect though! So many great, cheesy ways to end a match with disrespect.

Please NRS give me Friendships in MK11 so I can end my real life friendships by destroying my friends and thoroughly disrespecting them.

That'd be a great nod to it if animalities aren't in the game. Wish they include friendships though, it'd be a nice alternative to ripping a hole through your daughter's chest.

That would probably be a brutality indeed. I like that ("Orchid") move. Although I think it would be as simple as biting the opponents head off.

Don't really think friendships were disrespectful. Babalities were more a nod to "disrespect".

In my couch gaming experience, a mercy in and of itself is disrespectful.

Doing a mercy, still winning, and then showing them that you remembered the input so that you can do a disco dance after utterly destroying them? Ultimately disrespectful.
