And this only confirms he wont be in the Kombat Kast of today. Doesn't mean he won't be playable in the game, just that if he's in, he won't be revealed today.

Out of all the tweets, why would Boon respond to this one, if at all? Seems rather arbitrary. Boon is known to troll so I wouldn’t get my hopes up if you had any to begin with.

Ed Boon is an annoying troll with a very bad taste in characters... Known fact, so this could be just a troll message, good thing, Boon isn't the only person in the team.

Derek of NRS also retweeted the initial request and then Boon's answer. Why would they go out of their way to tweet about this particular request?

Because they are all evil trolls who love to play with peoples expectations, only to show them the Briggs Family trailer in the end again.

I can only think of Ed only reponding this way, when replying openly negatively to characters like Drahmin, Nitara and Mavado when he would basically imply they were not in the game. I do not think Fujin's chances are good at all. It is not a de-confirmation but it looks pretty bad for him.

It means only one thing: Fujin won't be on the Kombast of today, and I'm not even saying that as a Fujin fan trying to remain hopefull, I don't care about this character.

You should stop over-analysing Ed Boon's tweets, or it will just drive you insane. I know I was doing that by the time of MKX, and it led nowhere (well except right before a big announcement like Reptile and Cage if I remember right, but there are no rules).

Its not looking good but I will wait till we know the roster 100%. Especially considering it mentioned the Kombat Kast specifically and not the game.

Honestly, I don't think it really changes the chances of Fujin appearing. As someone else already said,

I have no faith in this because Ed Boon's trolls do seem pretty random. However, with the combination of Fujin appearing in MKX story and how he is much more popular (and relevant) than the usual suspects of Boon's demeaning tweets, and that Derek retweeted it makes me think his chances have improved.

Although Derek loves to troll and loves to give the fans what they want. If he knows that Fujin is in the game and saw Boon tweet it I would hazard a guess he would retweet it for the troll factor.

Otherwise, the only reason I can see Derek retweeting this is
A) He hates Fujin
B) Fujin has been much more requested than any other characters for this kombat kast, for some reason.

The caveat to all this is yes, this is by far too much analysis of an Ed Boon tweet. So really I don't think this effects his chances at all.

Both Kitana and Kung Lao in the game will be a great nono for Fujin, which shares lots of their moves and wind abilities.

Thats never meant anything though. Frost and Sub have been in the same game, Ermac and Kenshi, multiple fireball users, Scorpion and Smoke have both shared a spear.

Thank god. Always found Fujin completely bland and useless. Let’s hope he sits this one out too.

But as someone above said, Boon's taste in characters is shit, so who knows.

Boon knows how much Fujin is requested by diehard mk fans and he is just teasing us.

To be honest this message is more a good news than bad, I can see Fujin being either in the game in the starting roster or later DLC.

Yeah I don’t read anything in to it yet. The person asked him to reveal Fujin on today’s stream and he said no.

They were talking at one point early on about how excited they are for the reveals and how surprised people were with Skarlet and Baraka abdvtgen they said they have a DLC character that’ll really blow people’s minds, so if anything, I think that makes a fan requested character like Fujin seem more likely, if only slightly.

The fact that Cassie, Skarlet and Dvorah are in at least shows me that this isn’t going to be a game where they JUST play the hits, and tyatcalone excites me. I’m actually liking the roster so far.
