I don’t see the point having Jax AND Jacqui in such a small roster. If she’s dlc then fine but not main roster. I never ever play her in X. I prefer more martial artists than shooting military types . Sonya is fine because she’s an mk original. Cassie is ok because she kind of replaces Stryker and is actually funny to play

This is a well rounded roster.

My base was well rounded from a story perspective given the whole timelines thing. At least one character from every game and all the major fan favorites for the most part that please the casuals. I was also going for a realistic roster at that given the inclusion of four guests. Two that fans have been yelling for for a while (Ash and Spawn) and two that are timely and WB properties that recently made a lot of money (Halloween and IT).

Wait, what? Halloween (2018) was made by Blumhouse & distributed by Universal. And the rights were newly acquired after Dimension spun their production wheels for too long and failed to make a third Halloween movie in the Rob Zombie series in time, thus the rights were forfeited.

The Halloween Movie that came out last year wasn't a WB property. Nor the two that came out prior to that one. I'm not gonna check who made all the rest of the other 8 Halloween movies before that, because the rights have fluctuated, and I don't remember, but yeah... at least CURRENTLY WB doesn't own the rights to Michael Myers.

That's not to say they couldn't license him for this game, but unlike Pennywise (who is currently owned by WB) Michael involves jumping through hoops.

As IT is a WB movie... it does seem likely Pennywise could appear, but I wouldn't call Michael a sure thing just because he had a hit movie. Depends if WB feels like paying to use him.

There isnt even that msny good 3d characters worth returning so with that being said, they should of taken from each game to buold the roster. Mk4 just had quan chi, reiko, fujin, Tanya. MkDA has kenshi, Li mei, and bo rai cho (make him more of a serious drunken master). MK:Deception has havik amd hotaru to restore balance in kronika timeline (maybe just havik). I would like a revamped powerful onaga not that horrible design they had. So using mk11 roster story wise and picking from that i would pick for mk11

Mk:D : havik

DLC: Li Mei, reptile/onaga, mileena, tri-Borg, and their dumb 2 guest characters.

Here’s my wish...

NRS to confirm 2 years after mk11 release that they are never bringing back any mk4 or 3d era characters to base rosters except:

quan chi

kenshi

shinnok

(& maybe Fujin?)

and that the rest are dead characters never to be playable except by fan vote for DLC.

This would be perfect strategy on their part. Because injustice would be coming out... everyone could whine and get it out of their system and then 2 years later when mk12 comes out we won’t have to hear about those characters maybe being in.

... look, NRS had to cut the fat somewhere.. they chose to move the franchise forward with the original cast. You can’t wxpect a fighting franchise to maintain so many characters. Plus a lot of the 3d era characters had interchangeable fighting styles and weapons, they were rarely unique.

Reiko should be a premium pack for shao Kahn then and be a faster version of him on the variation scale. He deserves at least one more game, sareena deserves one game and fujin deserves one game. I dont care if they come back after those. Havik is the most widely requested DLC right now just like rain to mk9 and tremor to mk10. He deserves at least one more chance especially in this chaotic timeline. Shinnok and onaga deserve 1 chance as they have so much potential. We got shinnok and I'm.satiskfied if he never comes back now but we need 1 more onaga. Hes the only boss that could of possibly been better than shao Kahn. I'm gonna miss Quan chi in this game but at least I got kabal.

Also, The story could he misleading in the cutscenes. That could be great kung lao vs kung lap revenent and a morphed shang tsung kang vs revenent kang. Otherwise we would have seen both raiders fighting too.

As much as I don’t want this to happen, I think I’d honestly be fine with it. The 3D era was special in the eyes of a lot of fans, but obviously not NRS. That’s fine, it is what it is. It’s just getting painful watching game after game go by and see the era get blackballed over and over.

I’ve said it before, but if I don’t see someone from the 3D era get a shot in this game, I’m just gonna assume they’re not coming back.
