I love Shao Kahn but I’m disappointed in his gameplay and his design. His alternates are better but making him look like he’s turning into a dragon just makes him look gross in my opinion. Not sure where that came from he never looked like that. As for his gameplay I find it pretty bland.

Better is subjective and the idea all dlc characters should be "better" than all base roster characters is completely unrealistic.

Shao Kahn never played better IMO.

Yeah to me this is my favorite version of Shao Kahn. He seems so imposing and intimidating this game. And I love how he plays and thoes masks are so badass

He's free if you preordered the game.

After April 23 he had to be purchased.

The only way to get a refund is by asking Customer Support. Unless the product is defective in some way they are not going to give you a refund. Poeple got Anthem refunded this way because it was switching PS4s off. You say you do not like Shao Kahn in the game and they are not going to gibve you a refund based on that.

I enjoy his half dragon look, it reminds me of his comic book appearance shown above.

Well he’s included in every physical copy atm. I sell them for a living haha. One of the burdens of buying digital I guess :(

I have a lot of trouble doing combos with him. I figured being the former and immortal Emperor of Outworld, I thought he would be OP like Scorpion, Sub Zero or Noob Saibot. But no. He's the total opposite. It makes me cringe.

I main Shao Kahn he's really good.

They probably just figured that the dude has spikes on his head so why not give him more? I'm not a fan of it either really. I mean out of all the characters to give more spikes to it's Shao Kahn instead of Goro who has been missing his forehead spikes in every game.

I'm also not a fan of the big spiky teeth.

I’m fine with spiked head because you barely see it. But the scales, the spikes and the discolouration on his body is just gross to me. Keep his body normal. It’s always been like that and there was no need to change it. I’m with you on the teeth as well. But like I said I am a fan of some of his gear. Not his main though.

I'm fine with the spikes on the head too because I always liked that he had this inhuman element to him under his mask. But yeah they monsterfied him too much in this game.

I like the way Kahn looks in this game. I knew he had the head spikes, but you could never see them with the helmet on. He just looked like a big human, which is boring. They gave Shao his own identity in this game . Besides, the "gods" supposedly look like dragons in their realm.

Buy I have to agree, as a Shao Kahn Mainer, he is very lacking compared to scorpion, liu Kang and Kano.

I liked that element of mystery and surprise to him though. He looks like he's just a big buff dude then you take his helmet off and oh shit he's not human at all.

Also if this is now retroactively how he has always looked now, then how in the hell did Kitana ever think he was her actual father? She's kinda missing some key traits.

I agree with the look of Shao Kahn. In the official Mortal Kombat II comic book done by Tobias back in the day that is what Kahn looked like under his mask and that is also why I hated how Brian Thompson looked in Annihilation. Thompson as Kahn I liked but they didn't make him look like he does under the helmet. His combos do lack a lot and to me Kahn is also a little too fat when compared to his MK9 and his MKII and MK3 designs. His finishers are comical and that is what makes him a little enjoyable. When I first saw his one where the head is knocked out of your back I thought it came out of another area. LOL

Let me say one thing about Shao Kahn and that is his combos are much similar to Kotal's combos in MKX. They were very difficult and clunky at best, but if you look at Kotal now they are better so perhaps Kahn will appear in the next installment revamped like Kotal was?

I think they need to patch and completely perform an overhaul on Shao Kahn's combos. That way they would be giving people what they paid for DLC wise. I strongly feel like he's dead weight in the game and was a waste of 7 dollars to those who didn't pre-order. The fact that he sucks so bad in the game discourages me from buying any future DLC characters. Because that makes me think those characters are going to be dead weight just as well. I think if you buy a DLC character, than that character needs to be a far bigger improvement over the vanilla version of characters that the regular game comes with.

Don't preorder games, and if they're going to drip feed you DLC for a year just hold out for a complete edition.
