Someone on Reddit pointed out that if you observe carefully, living, non-revenant Kitana can be spotted amongst the cast in the background. In attire matching her image on the main menu.

Yup I just checked, that definitely looks like Kitana standing next to Jade and Raiden. I was wondering if we were going to see past Kitana. I really hope her costumes in this game are as good or even better than her costumes in MKX, because those were the best she’s had yet.

That video is missing a small part where Shao Kahn says something to Kotal Kahn. I had the video link, but apparantly that video is now pulled down.

Oh God do I wish Shao hammers that green turd head.

I honestly think Kotal is an interesting character and one of the best new comers, but I just hate him.

You can see good Raiden, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Kitana, and Jade. All alive (so assuming they're from the past).

Lots of other background characters fighting but I can't makes out any of them. Some blues and potential purples in there. I want to see a high-res version of this clip to get a better look. But I bet you that is exactly WHY there isn't a high-res version.

I'm seeing a lot of Kotal haters here. I just have to say I love Kotal Kahn! Shao Kahn may be good at konqust but other than that, he's just another bore. At least Kotal is working toward being a worthy Kahn for Outworld. I've been a Mortal Kombat fan for a long time and I personally haven't liked many of the fighters over the years but Kotal is one who has been a welcome addition to me.
