Though it would really come down to the direction NRS gave him and they seem to have bought into their own hype over the years of being notorious for ambient atmospheric "gothic" soundtracks. Which I don't know if Jeff Gerstmann single-handedly started this reputation because it certainly isn't true when you look back at most of the older games. I think the only one this can mostly be applied to is Deadly Alliance.

If they did hire him Boon would likely muzzle Mick by instructing him to stay in the uninspired Hans Zimmer "Cinematic" lane. I mean we've seen it happen. Mick is a great composer, and lover of how soundtracks used to be approached in the 80's and 90's, but he got butchered with "Prey".
