An awesome Story Trailer. I just wanna play the story first.... god damn i have to wait. And finally NRS can make beautiful faces and even long hair. So much details, so many to discuss.

You i be thankful every day that NRS is now working with Warner because they have the time to make MK complete in every aspect. Something which they couldn't do under Midway. And you can see it in every fucking second.... so much love in the details. Love it.

Edit: I wouldn't bet that the Kollector isn't a cyborg. I am sure you can easily change his arms or costumise it.

I wouldn't worry much about anyone dying... it generally doesn't mean much in a normal Mortal Kombat game, but LEAST of all in this game.

They'll likely kill "Old" Sonya early in the story, forcing Cassie to try to screw around with the past and save her mother, and thus work with "Young" Sonya...

Sonya will likely still have a fair amount of story presence in MK11 either way (young and old), and the death (if it happens) likely won't mean jack shit going into MK12. Stands a 50/50 chance of being undone before the story of 11 even finishes.

The time travel plot will likely hit the reset button and deus ex machina a completely new status quo for MK12 before all is said in done. There's no way in hell we ride this rollercoaster of a plot from start to finish and end up right back where we started at the end of MKX. Anyone they want to bring back in 12 will have a free pass.

Very interesting trailer. A lot to take in but I will say Jacqui looks 10 times better than her MKX look. I'll admit that. Whether her gameplay and overall character is better is still up in the air but it's a step in the right direction. I liked her fatality.

So much potential shenanigans with the time stuff. Let's see if this gets better.

Erron looks fantastic, Jacqui's new model is one hell of an improvement, awesome to see Shao involved in Story Mode (hopefully the same can be said of some of the DLC as well). So many things to process but stuck at work. Will have to give this a proper dive in on my break.

Some new things like Sonya's fatality which is overkill. Cassie has a drone which presumely will be customisable.

I don't like Cassie's new voice. The old one had more snark. More bite. The new one is too cute (and I mean that as a negative)... BUT... is what it is I guess. I will adapt.

Looks to have a hint of a scar... so could be Sub-Zero I guess, but doesn't look like his MK11 face model. And why would they use such a teasy shot for someone so anticlimactic, revealed from day 1?

Where did you saw Sonya's fatality? I only saw Jacqui's there.

She sounds... younger. Less "in charge," less of Sonya's timbre. I wonder if it was a deliberate choice so that Cassie and young Sonya don't sound too much alike, and Cassie sounds more kiddish to emphasize that she's still the kid when they meet.

Heres a couple of cool things I noticed!

Cassie's bullets are green, a true combination of sonya's gadgets and Johnny's green energy.

If someone else didn't mention "The Kollektor"s second set of arms I would have never seen them. He seems like a pretty lax guy considering he was resting his second set of hands behind his head in such a nonchalant way. I like him already.

It seemed like Raiden went to the elder gods and they were like "well, beat kronika and everything will be okay" Thanks elder gods, big help.

Definitely seem to be setting up a Kahn-off. I cannot wait to see how Shao vs Kotal pans out and I will be very upset if it doesn't happen.

Anyone else notice how the tower is building itself out of sand in that opening scene?

Kronika's time glass room looks way different than when we saw it in the first trailer

We get a quick look at Kronika's chronies at 40 seconds in if you want to see Cetrion. Be warned, its basically just a hooded figure, it could even be frost but I doubt it due to the weird markings on the leg. Certainly seems closely linked to Kronika.
Additionally, Erron Black, Kano, and Skarlet are already with Kronika when she is making this deal with Shao Kahn. On second thought, they could just be with Shao and have surrounded Kronika and her chronies as they arent right beside her.

Kotal Kahn's face looks like paint as opposed to his skin actually being blue. I dunno if this was the case in MKX or not but I thought he was blue skinned.

Those monks in nooses having their souls stolen looks very shang tsung-esque

I'm reading that old Sonya (from the current timeline) dies in the first chapter which is Cassie's, but don't know if it's true.

At any rate, the younger Sonya from the old timeline is still alive. Very clever way for Netherrealm to not age their female characters!

I believe it was supposed to be paint, though it was a source of confusion even during MKX.

All his Osh-Tekk guards in game have regular flesh tones, as does his alt costume showing him before he was Kahn. I recall during MKX people said if you looked VERY closely at his main costume, it had hallmarks that suggested it was paint.

THAT SAID... the MKX comic book implied it was skin, and that all Osh-Tekk were similarly blue. (Which is yet another potential plot hole created by the MKX comic)

So like I said, it was already a source of confusion, but I BELIEVE both MKX and now MK11 seem to imply it's paint, and this is one of those situations where we just have to ignore the error in the comics.

Overall, seems the story seems improved and intriguing. MKX story mode started great, but swiftly devolved to a embarrassing mess (a sassy Instagram star defeats an elder god is laughably awful). I love Shao Kahn's helmet, I love the attention to detail, and most of the characters look great. Kronika seems a rather tepid boss character, so far -- hope she becomes more interesting and menacing in later chapters.

I love Cassie's intros so far and her voice!!! I can't believe she said "Get over here!"

Kano's voice isn't too bad.

Also, where are Kung Jin and Takeda? I wonder if they don't exist.

Johnny's camera flash also blinds the opponent with green energy. I guess Cages can channel their power through weapons?

His alt in MKX (before he was Kahn) had a fairly normal skin tone. Always thought it was paint or some kind of magical enhancement. I like the paint, myself.
