If this is legit, than hooray for Kotal Kahn's return.

This roster doesn't have Mileena, Shang Tsung, Havik, Triborg. Sheeva/Goro, Ferra/Torr, Kung Jin or Takeda. And it may have Jacqui of all new characters, of all the remaining Kombat Kids in the game. And it doesn't have even have Kotal's most loyal ally: Reptile.

But all in all? It's still a pretty good roster. And it's far better than the GI Joe Special Forces Roster of Vanilla MKX.

That might confirm the leaks that Kung jin but not jung lao is playable, animalities with the mercy confirmed, Jacquie being on the roster and the new character named Kollector....that same guy leaked MKx roster supposely so we might have some kind of match here. Also not all the achievements have been show yet as Geras and Shao kahn arent on there. (which both seem to be in the unlockable character slot at the bottom). If this roster is true, it brings people back from every single mortal kombat game. (assuming reiko and fujin DLC or at least Quan chi or a shocking playable shinnok return, missing some MK4 characters and Havik for Deception roster)

Another problem is no deadly alliance member Quan chi , shang tsung, nightwolf, Noob saibot, Smoke, reptile, Rain. Just feels weird with all of these out in the same game. I was expecting at least Noob saibots story to continue this game (hidden slot on sub zeros character?) Smoke and reptile unlocked after being beaten in a stage like the pit or portal? Doubt it. I wanted DLC to reserved for Fujin, Havik or at Least Reiko or mileena.

I don't have no issue with Jacquie. She's not remarkable or all that original by any means but I wouldn't say I hated her. The only two I'd truly loathe would be Kira and Kobra. But even those two have the potential to be made into something interesting if written well.

I'm more disappointed that there are sooooo many of the safe plays in there. Shao Khan, Lui Kang, Sonya, Kano... yaaawn.

It smells fake and it doesn't make sense....maybe some of these are DLC's. I have a hard time believing that this is the roster.

Only developers have access to the Steam acheivements so no, it can not be fake. The PC port is being done by QLOC not NRS. Unless they are delibrately printing misinformation it is not fake.

Could be a deliberate move then. It just doesn't make sense imo unless some of these are DLC.

Nothing Netherrealm does ever makes sense.

1. I really don't understand how the lack of Shang Tsung is what makes you feel it's fake. There isn't a single indication that actually points to a high probability of him being in the game.

2. Creating a fake data file with the intention of having it leaked out just to trick fans has got to be the DUMBEST move NRS could make, especially given this news has been met with increasing hype. People like this roster. For the file to be fake - and by NRS' hands - would be a very bad look for them. I'm sure they know not to go that far.

3. Any MK roster would make no sense out of context. The roster is the roster. Don't think so much into it.
