Yeah, he looks pretty ace. It's the best he's looked since the 90's. I don't know if you watch the YouTuber IgnantRizzy but I agree with him that Liu in this game has a Bruce Lee thing going, and Kung Lao is reminiscent of Donnie Yen.

Funny how things turn around, eh? I remember people legit being happy when he was killed off in Deadly Alliance.

The thing is though ever since that happened he has more or less been treated as a chump by the franchise. He was once the franchise's main hero but he has been maligned for like a decade and a half now. He was dead in Deadly Alliance, brought back but only as a zombie/ghost in Deception, same in Armageddon, he was made a complete fool of in MK 2011 and had even his role of champion in the first three games retconned away from him; and he was a bitter, evil revenant in MKX.

So I think at this point people are ready to see him brought back to form and kick some ass. They're gonna cheer it on. Absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that.

Back in the day every fighting game would have a 'Bruce Lee' character. I can understand why people would get sick of that. But I've grown to appreciate him more since he properly returned in MK(2011).

I'm personally more of a Jet Li and Kung Lao fan over Bruce Lee and Liu Kang.

Well... I watched some clips from maximillian and share his opinion. The kharacters from the last kombat kasts seems to have more options from combos than the kharacters from the first kombat kasts. I am really missing more options with Skarlet and Jade for combos (even if they are zoners). When i saw Liu Kang und Kung Lao i could imagine many possible combos.... with Skarlet and Jade there is only one "combo" string... I hope NRS look at the "old" Kharacters and add some more to them.

You know, what I am thinking about? We only have 6! Kharacters left if I remember right. Next week we see more from Noob. Also not being showned were D'Vorah, Shao Kahn, The Kollector, Cetrion and Erron Black. And I think they wanted to show three next week or only two? Well.. MK11 is coming in huge steps :D

I'd assume the beta is an old build of the game, and the characters revealed earliest have changed. Didn't they mention in the last Kast that Sonya had a new move or something was tweeked?! Can't remember exactly.

I'm just kinda annoyed that they used Kombat Kasts to go over some (but not all) of the characters from the reveal event. Like Baraka and Geras. But left out Scorpion, Raiden, Skarlet, and Sonya - while Sub-Zero is everyones punching bag. You could argue that Youtubers covered the reveal characters so there was no point going over them again... but they still went over some.

Maybe I'm just salty because they left out Scorpion and Raiden, my top two characters. Thankfully my third, Noob, is next. Just wish Rain (my fourth) was there too.

Anyhoo... We're still yet to see gameplay breakdowns for the following characters:

D'Vorah
Erron Black
Frost
Kitana
Kollector
Noob Saibot
Shao Kahn

I count Shao Kahn as he is in the base game despite being locked behind a pay wall.

Damn I totally forgot Kitana and Frost. Ok, enough stuff to stay curios. If they implied more moves since the beta build then I am fine. It is possible they mentioned it in a kombat kast.

The point with the kharacters like Scorpion... I thought Ketchup and Mustard did a great job to describe them and show the possibilities of them. But sure, they could also do a kombat kast and I think they showed deeper gameplay of Baraka in one of the first kasts. The reason why I think they didn't showed them yet is because of the roster size. To many kharacters to show and only a short amount of time.
