I was just looking as well and found nothing. Also, I was just reading the details for standard edition and it says nothing about Shao Kahn and access to the closed beta but it does on premium edition. Do you have to pre-order premium edition for Shao Kahn and closed beta?

No, every pre-order should have the beta access and Shao Kahn. In the European PS-Store, Shao Kahn and beta access are also mentioned with the regular edition. Although how some things are worded, it seems that beta access is only available for those who pre-order before a certain time.

In US PS-store it only says so for premium edition. I'm sure they forgot or something. I hope...

I am in Canada and I think I know what happened. It does say you get beta access with the standard edition but it leaves that information out after you've paid for the pre-order. Now that I have pre-ordered the standard edition it doesn't say anything about pre-ordering to get access to shao and beta in the standard edition details. When I pull up the premium one it still does.

Ok, i played at Kabal right now. My advice: first look at the costumisation and look at the konditions to make a brutality. Because it is only listed there (kabal has two and they worked). Second fatality is ok, but his first one is better imo. But still not bad. Moveset is... clear... there are only a few combo strings, but it is ok. The grafic is gorgeous :D

I went to redeem code put it in but it says beta coming soon. I'm assuming tomorrow. My code should still work right?

Where are you doing is first Fatality? It says Mid, but I haven't been able to pull that one of yet.
The second one I like. But if you fail to execute it, people might think you're tea-bagging them :/
